Great gate! Very quick delivery, good price. Installed pretty easily, just finicky to make sure alignment was perfect but once installed very easy to remove temporarily and to use. Highly recommended.
Great product. No trip hazards. Sturdy, metal fabrication. Installation is easy. I now have three mounted in my home.
Great gate, very sturdy, easy to assemble, looks premium (metal our metal pickets and dark-stained banisters), works well for our angled stairways. My husband installed 3 of those using banister-to-banister kits and said it was very easy. We didn't use the templates and measured everything from scratch just in case. I do find it a bit hard to open and close but on the flip side it's very secure.
This gate is very sturdy and looks great in our modern home (I was initially worried about the aesthetics but it blends in nicely.) I can’t speak to ease of installation because we had someone install them but it looked fairly straightforward.
We nought this unit for a top of the basement stairs gate moreso for adults than kids so is mounted about 10" above the floor....it is very sturdy and quality built and looks it
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Simple enough gate to install. My opening was larger than the gate, which was my issue but I was able to get a panel from another gate and put them together.
This gate is perfect for angled spaces. We had a hallway where the opposite walls didn't line up so this was the only gate I could find that would fit on an angle. Easy to install though kind of finicky. It was able to handle the wall difference between baseboard and wall with no problem. Gate opening mechanism is easy and it seems to close easily.
We got one about 6 months ago, and just bought a second one a week ago. The retractable feature is fantastic, and the screen is surprisingly sturdy, holding up to my twins who try hanging off of them. The only downside is that, because we installed it above the baseboard, our 18mo twins can crawl underneath the gates if they are feeling feisty. They are relatively easy to install, even come with a template to make your life easier, and so far, we have not yet had any issues with the kids opening them. They are great for our small townhouse, and have enough room underneath for our cats to get through. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of them being able to get underneath, but honestly, they come with the pieces to make the gate even with the baseboard, so it's our own fault for not mounting them that way in the first place. Otherwise, no issues! Great product.
Overall I like the gate, it was an angle mount which was essential because I don't have 2 studs directly across from each other to mount any other kind of gate and I like that there's no threshold. We used this for a hallway not stairs. What I disklike is the install process, it was way more challenging than it needed to be, directions are unclear in some parts, it lists the items included but not how many of each you should have so no way of knowing you're missing something until you need it. Installing was such a pain, that's why it lost 2 stars, basically throw out the template, install the hinge side then line up the other side while you fiddle with how wide the gate should be. The latch parts are plastic so time will tell if it holds up!
Missing pieces and assembly instructions are quite unclear. Had to guess alot while assembling and installing. Works okay after installing, but not very sturdy.
