I bought the flip stool for my grandson that is 14months. It is the perfect height for sitting and he can flip the chair into a stool himself. ( which gets him in trouble!) There was nothing to assemble.
Bought this for my great grandson because it seemed like a sturdy step stool for him to learn to stand at the bathroom sink and brush his teeth, etc. Had one similar for my youngest daughter when she was growing up and it was very useful.
This stool is very cute and stable for my 3 years old child. It is a little lower than I was expecting but it worked fine.
Can also be used for adult step stool to reach items on shelves and in cabinets.
This step-up stool is so solid and just perfect for our younger grandchildren to use. They can move it as they need to and step up and wash their hands by themselves now.
I have a small business and have been ordering the large flip stools directly from Kidkraft for many years. Recently, the policy was changed and I now I need to order from the website which is no big deal. I ordered two natural flip stools and two white stools. I was very surprised that the natural stools arrived unassembled. This has created challenges because I paint the stools for clients to give as baby gifts and ship them out in the boxes that I receive them in. I don't want to have the stools arrive as gift and need to be assembled. They cannot be shipped in the boxes that they arrived in. So now I have to spend additional time assembling them, then find and purchase boxes to ship the gifts out. This adds additional costs to me and my clients. It is very frustrating. When I get a chance, I'm going to look for another source for stools. This is unfortunate because the Kidkraft stools are high quality and Kidkraft has always been good if there has ever been problems. I'm not sure I will be able to find a suitable replacement.
The stool is very nice quality however the wood is very yellow. Not a “natural” wood.
The step stool was bad. Shipping was fast. Called the manufacturer. They promised to send another stool right out. 9 days later still no stool. Called the manufacturer again. They sent a replacement overnight delivery. Christmas party was over. Unhappy little granddaughter.
This is a sturdy stool, but it is plywood and not solid wood as pictured. The picture is cute and looks nice, the real stool you will receive is cheap with no wood grain, a orange tinged finish, made from layers of plywood glued together which look nothing like this picture. Plywood may produce a sturdy stool, but this is not a nice looking stool. I am returning mine. I called the company and they said it is "okay" that their picture shows a different stool since in the technical information it states materials as "MDF". This translates as medium-density fiberboard. It is not real wood as pictured. KidKraft has no intention of changing their picture, so be informed.
This stool is cute in the picture and is shown made of solid wood; however, the stool I received is made of plywood. There is no wood grain, only the stripes of layers of plywood glued together with a cheap painted-on orange-colored finish.
