I used this product to prep my canvas for alcohol ink art! It was easy to apply and dried smooth so my inks didn't absorb too quickly.
My favorite primer! Primed my daughter's bed with it and the paint is holding up amazingly!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we move into our old farm house. The house sat empty for several years. They didn't shut the water off. Pipes froze and we had a mess to clean up. We painted Kilz on everything, Ceilings and walls. We even painted over really old wallpaper. The Kilz was a great base before we added color!
The wife and I bought a rather gross house, I ripped out all the flooring and scrubbed all the walls/ceilings. After which I coated the subfloor,walls and ceilings with a coat of killz and the smell was instantly gone. Great stuff!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness a beautiful coat of this under the paint and it weird smell that's been going on in my sons room for years is gone. The smell was there when we bought the place and now it's actually gone! I also put it on the c the floor before we leave the carpet. I feel secure that it will go on for years of beautiful smells, even in a boy room.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a 2 gallon Kilz 2 All purpose primer. It worked well on my walls and ceiling before I painted. I put it in my garage in the original container for storage. I just got it out 5 months later and it's separated and half solid. It will not mix together. I'm not happy at all.
the product took around a week and a half longer that given delivery date. and arrived with product spilled into plastic bag and all over the can
I can't give a rating because it arrived in a condition that I am unable to use it. It was clear the package was damaged and leaking. Yet, they still left it on my porch.
I sanded my small bedside table to the bare wood. This “primer” goes on a pretty white, but as it dries, you can see the brownish tint coming through. I just put on the 3rd coat, and it's still drying yellowish! I painted 1/2 for the picture. Left side is 3 coats right side is 4. (it's not dry yet)
Unlike the oil based product, this does not cover water stains even after three coats.
