I bought this for my newly constructed home and couldn't be happier. We love the crisping, steaming, melting and softening functions and use them often. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a great microwave packed with many preset options that take away guess work while cooking or reheating meal
Love that it is our microwave, but also going to be an oven addition for holiday dinners. Haven't had the chance to use the convection part of it yet, but had the most amazing bag of popcorn the first time I used it!! Cooks very evenly and has some sort of sensing built in to where it just "knows" when the popcorn is is ready. Have heated up multiple items in it for about a week now (just moved in), everything seems to be in working order. Pretty quiet operation and the modern look is perfect in our new kitchen! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The convection option is pretty cool. It bakes nicely.
I love this microwave/ convection combo. This allows me to have a second oven without having a “Double” oven which I would only use about twice a year. It has a larger capacity than a drawer microwave but sits in my island like I wanted. The matte black is amazingly modern and fresh! I definitely love the value and quality vs price of my Kitchenaide appliances. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This combination of microwave, convection oven and steam oven is remarkable! The crisp feature is my favorite-most used mode of use for my kitchen and I didn't even know this feature existed. Absolutely love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Did a kitchen rehab ~8+yrs ago and went w/ KitchenAid appliances including this microwave. Worked great until today when my son went to make popcorn and all heck broke loose. Sparks were flying and smoke was pouring out of the microwave. Not sure if this is an end of useful life issue or some other failure. Does not appear safe to use going forward.
Data shows as follows: KitchenAid microwave 27” built in microwave Weight: 39916096 kg = 87,999,928.2174874326 lb Size: 6858 cm = 2,700 inches/225 ft The KitchenAid products are better than the data they present, but such attention to detail makes one wonder.
Just had this installed in a new kitchen, cabinet designed for the microwave. The door opens from the top and makes it impossible to reach into the microwave, unless you are very tall with really long arms. I tried it with a step ladder and still cannot reach into the microwave.
Now on our fourth tech visit to try and solve an inverter/magnetron issue (F1E5 code) and been without the unit for over six weeks. Multiple parts, multiple technicians. Wife and I started shopping for a new non-Kitchenaid unit that's how frustrating this is to nit-pick the troubleshooting. Quality of Kitchenaid is such that shouldn't be this hard for a unit that's only five years old.
