[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my fridge! It felt sturdier than all the others at the store. It was the only one in the store with metal tracks for the freezer drawer. Doors open and close tightly and doesnt feel cheap like the other brands. Hope it holds up! Seems to be the best I've owned yet.
I've had this refrigerator for about a month. I had a similar, but larger Kitchenaid refrig without French doors that I bought in 2005 and sold with the house 9 years later. So I had no worries choosing this 20 cu. ft. counter-depth refrig. The water dispenser is great; the filter seems to remove the chlorine taste from the water. I especially love the digital temperature readings for both freezer and refrigerator. And the door alarm is important because you do have to be a bit assertive when closing the left-hand door.
We haven't had it for more than 2 months so far. I love the counter depth size! It looks so much better in our kitchen than our previous refrigerator which stuck out too far. Kids are grown so we don't need such a big refrigerator anymore. I also like NOT having the ice and water in the door- just another thing to keep clean. The filtered water inside is very nice!
This is our second Kitchen Aid refrigerator. The first one is a 20 year old side by side and is still going strong. I keep a refrigerator in my work shop for refreshments and the one that was there died so we decided to upgrade our kitchen unit to a newer model and move the side by side into the work shop. We now have all stainless appliances in our kitchen and the new unit looks great and is working great. We really like the new unit's door arrangement and space functionality. We did a lot of research of every brand on the market and reading reviews on all for over a month before deciding on the brand and model to purchase. We couldn't be happier with or decision to buy another Kitchen Aid. We love it so far. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
This refrigerator fit the bill in so many ways. We live in an older home that wont accept many of the new wider refriherator models. Kitchenaid gave us a stylish option with all of the features we expected! I especially love the internal water dispensor - it keeps the front of the fridge a clean look while giving me cold filtered water anytime. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
Love this fridge. It wasn't my first choice but I'm definitely happy with my purchase. Only thing to mention is that the left door needs to be closed before the right otherwise it might be stuck open, which is only annoying when you only need to grab something on the left side of the fridge...you still have to open both doors. Otherwise, ice maker and water work well, nice design, and enough space for my husband and I.
It is great that they make such a pretty frig for a small space. But it does have a funny layout. Not sure of that keep fresh drop down in the left door. Biggest thing is the specs say it has a wire basket that hold up to 4 bottles of wine. Which isn't there. Otherwise it's so pretty. Sometimes I just stare at it. So nice along with my new KA stove. Looks great, smells good. A joy after my 24 yr old mess..... (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
We chose this fridge option due to limited space between our kitchen island and counter. This is a counter-depth double French door style refrigerator and fit perfectly in our space. The interior is perfect for a small family or couple. Because the doors are lighter in weight (compared to a single door fridge) I had to get used to making sure both doors were fully shut. The bottom freezer is fine and the ice machine works well.
We've had this refrigerator for almost a month and the freezer has been forming ice on the top center, as well as along the top surface of the freezer door. The frost has been falling onto the food in the freezer compartment. Will I need to defrost this frost- free freezer regularly?
Icemaker makes 8 pieces of ice about every hour and a half. Took 2 days to get the ice bin half full. Never improved. Also, what's with crisper bins having fancy sliding humidifier settings when the bins themselves hang open a half inch at the top, even when pushed in as far as possible? Yes, the frig is very pretty and the interior water feature worked well but neither makes up for the fact that the appliance doesn't work properly. The seller sent technicians to inspect/fix it but they agreed it was a lemon so it returned. Shame on you Kitchen Aid. I then opted for a Kenmore Elite.
