In our design of our renovated kitchen this oven was paired with the kitchenaid gas top to effectively use the available space and allow a duel fuel combination at a significantly reduced cost as opposed to an integrated duel fuel appliance. We love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced our 20 year old ill-maintained KitchenAid oven (came with our recent purchase of this home) with this new model of a similar type. Though a basic model it heats quickly, is very accurate from a temperature standpoint, seems really well built (LOVE the gliding rack), has easy to use controls which include many smart features and is a great looking product. Don't believe you can ever go wrong buying a KitchenAid product.
I've had this for about 3 weeks and super happy with my purchase. Easy to use and works great. Glad I pulled the trigger on this oven. Convection fan and cooling down fan are not loud. Highly recommended !!!
This oven is amazing I still have much to learn about how to get the best results. I love love love the bread proofing feature. Made beautiful breads for the holidays and never had to babysit the bread bowl near the fireplace. Thank you so much for such a much needed feature.
Loaded with so many features.. and it looks great in our kitchen! It helps to read the instructions.. and utilize the advised rack positions for better results. We turned the chime sounds to loud..that was easy too. There is nothing we do not like about this oven! No more over done cakes! Everything cooks perfectly. I do not find that it takes any longer to preheat than my old GE. The cooldown feature is pretty quiet too.
This is a beautiful oven. I love the convection oven and it will convert the temperature for you. It's blue inside with bright lights and the racks have a indention in the front for your hand to go in. The racks slide out so easily. I love Kitchenaid.
This wall oven was purchased for the replacement of a JenAir wall oven. The issue I have with the new oven is that it was placed below the new KitchenAid countertop cooktop, which is an approved Intallation. Every time I use the cooktop the wall oven electronic controls turn things on because they are too close and very sensitive. This is a GREAT inconvenience and an annoyance for me. I'm really not sure what to do about this problem. Other than that I really like the oven. The glass cooktop without the knobs is just ok. Make sure you have your reading glasses close by to see the controls.
I had this installed a little over a week ago and have tried to bake several things with either the Bake or Convection Bake option. Nothing would bake in the amount of time expected -- taking quite a bit longer -- so I got an oven thermometer. The temperature on the display vs. the temperature in the oven is 30 or more degrees less than that on the display. The timer "bell" is also extremely hard to hear even when I am in the kitchen! On the plus size, the oven is nice looking and the display is nice, but if it doesn't bake right, what is the point. Not looking forward to the hassle of getting this serviced. I had read several reviews of people having similar problems and just thought they had a lemon and that most people (including me) would get a good one...
I'm not certain I would recommend it to a friend for one--and only one--reason. After using the oven just once and having some cooking juices drip on the bottom surface and congeal there, we activated the self-cleaning feature. It failed to remove all of the congealed juices and nothing else we tried worked. We actually ran the self-cleaning cycle a second time for longer and a residue still remained, impervious to all efforts to clean it. Otherwise, the wall oven is very attractive and has all the features we wanted. Stylistically, it even blends beautifully with our Viking professional range.
I think ours was defected it burns some sides and some sides aren't cooked, takes a long time to get hot
