(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I replaced my 15 year old Kitchen Aid Range with a New one. This wasn't because the old one failed, but I had a black Kitchen Aid Fridge that was slowly being abused. Black coloured appliances are not on the current market. So both are now stainless steel. The new range has a lot more push buttons. When you get to know what they do, it makes selection a lot simpler. The convection fan is very quiet. My first project, drying basil from the garden, was done in 1/2 hour, at a convection temp of 170. Great air circulation.
I wasn't sure I would like the flat top stove, but I love it! The ease of cooking and clean-up is great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] am loving it. its beautiful, the fit and finish is perfect, and it works wonderfully. bit of a story i had originally bought a ge electric range and sent it back after two days because nothing fit right the whole unit was crooked and it overheated enough so that i burnt my fingers on the oven door handle. im very happy i picked out the kitchenaid range. i loving it
I have only had this range for about 2 weeks. And I am blown away on how fast it cooks food, than again my last range was about 27 years old. I have used the Aqua Clean feature, and it works great. I highly recommend this model range. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I purchased this range 9 months ago. The task of keeping the cooktop clean is demanding. It was nt until I contacted customer service did I find out about Affresh; it helps ease the burden. I m not sure why the internal capacity of the range is so large, given the limited amount of cooking that people do . How many families will need a oven with that capacity at the expense of storage space for pots and pans?
I bought this model because of the stainless steel details because I wanted as little black on the stove top in my kitchen. It looks very nice. Everything seems to work well as far as cooking and baking. HOWEVER, I have also had a hazy stain like area appear on one of my burners. It does not appear to be food left on the top, it is completely smooth and actually doesn't show up much unless the over head light shines on it. I just hope this doesn't continue to happen and my stove top looks old in 6 months. I also was told this is cosmetic and not covered under warranty, that it does not affect the function of the range. Well one of the functions is for it to look nice in my kitchen!! I had a glass top range before this one for 10 years and never had this problem. One other item is the extra large eye on the stove top that I will not ever use (I guess it is for canning)- I wish that dual burner was smaller and I could get more use out of it. I will use the smaller of the dual burners on that burner. But I bought it for the looks and not the burner layout. I think it will serve me well as long as I don't get any more of these stains. I think the glass must not be made as well or is defective or something. I have tried and followed all cleaning instructions. Hope this is helpful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Recently I have replaced my broken Kitchen aid electric range with a new one, KFEG500ESS. I had used the previous electric range for 20 years without complication. When I have started to use a new installed electric range I found out that this model has the oven vent with very sharp edges. When I'm cleaning the cook top area near the oven vent, it could cut my hands. This problem I have never experienced with the previous model.
My first stainless steel appliance. It is hard to keep the black cooktop looking clean. Other than a rather slow pre-heat time, so far so good. Cooks and bakes well, the bread proof setting works well, no complaints yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Had expected higher efficiency. Burners and oven take long to get hot extending cooking times. Stainless steel around oven door arrived with marks that will not remove so always looks oily. Do like the dual stove features for various pan size. Like the glass top for easy cleaning.
I took delivery of this oven less than a week ago and the glass top is already scratched. It also gets very hot when the oven is on. I can't comfortably use the oven and the stove at the same time. I bought this to replace an old KitchenAid oven that came with my house when I moved in and worked perfectly, so I thought a new one might work just as well but I am extremely disappointed.
