I needed a new refrigerator and got it but the suite was so beautiful I got a new stove, dishwasher, and microwave as well. So happy I did. Especially love the steam cleaning feature.
Bought the oven about one month ago and so far so great. I replaced a slide in range that was not as deep as the Kitchenaid so I knew the new oven would stick out from the counter farther. It turned out to be a non issue. The Kitchenaid has about a 4 inch reveal but the sides are finished and the overall look is fine for us. the oven performance has been great. I've not used a lot of features just yet but am hosting Thanksgiving dinner and I'm not feeling worried. It comes with 3 racks which is great. Overall styling of the oven is very nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I'm not kidding when I say that this stove made me a better cook. It's the easiest stove I've ever used. The control of the heat settings versus the size of the pan you're using is a fantastic feature. Most glass top stoves I've used simply adjust heat and size at the same ratio, meaning it will overcook whatever is on a larger skillet. With this, I can slow cook large dishes at a lower temperature, and even let it simmer with the "simmer" feature. Baking is also a breeze, and incredibly user friendly, so that even my nine year old could use it to bake cupcakes for Father's Day!
This is the best stove & oven I've ever owned & I've owned quite a few in almost 60 yrs. Cooks & bakes good, easy cleanup, looks great!! The only thing I wish is that I could afford to get the trim to go on the top sides of the oven to the countertop since it does leave a small gap on each side. If you cook messy like I do, it can allow food to drip down the side of the stove between the counter tops.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Range supplied in new townhome, would not choose the stovetop selection pad on the top front, too easy to erroneously touch and turn selections on. Shows fingerprints and smudges on stainless exterior.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace my previous Kitchenaid slide-in range which was about 11 yrs old. PROS: It's a beautiful range! Oven size is really large and glass window is huge, letting me see what's baking easily from a distance! No vent in top of oven door - hated that before, broiling would splatter down those vents and in between glass of door window. That's been fixed with this new one! Oven bakes evenly and holds temps accurately - something my old one didn't do. Super large burner on cooktop allows for large stockpots and frying pans. Cooktop burners heat well, fast, and accurately. Warming burner is wonderful, really keeps things nice and hot without burning. CONS: Depth sticks out from cabinets further than my old one did, but it is such a beautiful range, NP Don't like the digital controls on the top, wish they were between the knobs on the front. Catches grease splatters when frying. Cookdop has small white dots in several places marking burner areas. Looks like crumbs. Not needed! Not fingerprintless stainless on control top or front! I was told the knobs were metal, but they feel plastic to me. Nice but plastic. We'll see how they hold up. I had to correct the oven temp calibration to +20 degrees for accurate baking temp. That seems to be a lot of calibratioIn, but is correctable, just check when you use it the first time. Why can't they do this in the factory?? I like the ability to be able to calibrate it myself though! No oven temperature probe - something that shoudl be there in this price range. Storage drawer is less high than my old one. Had to get rid of some pans I used to have room for. I would rather have the storage space and 2" less high oven space. That's a personal choice. Just saying. You have to really listen for the timer ending alarm. It only beeps once at first. NO OWNER"S MANUAL - This is HUGE. Features I would like to know more about such as what are "even heat", even heat ultra burners, and more about the "steam bake" oven selection. All in all, I like the look, it's a BEAUTIFUL range, and so far works nicely" I would buy it again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with the dishwasher. However I bought 5 KitchenAid appliances and am VERY, VERY unhappy that NONE of them came with a user manual. How is one supposed to learn all the features and how to operate them ?
Nice looking appliance. We have had this stove/oven for only 3 years. We rarely used the oven. When we did use it, it seemed to take a long time to preheat, and then the fan would run for hours afterwards to cool it down. The burners on the stove didn't seem to have much temperature control, they generally were always very hot, no matter if they were set to high or low. A little while ago we got an error message on the oven saying the fan speed was low. We stopped using the oven. We attempted to have it repaired, but replacing the fan did not work, nor did replacing the electrical panel. We were debating if we wanted to try another repair person or just replace the unit all together. Then the time stopped displaying on the screen, and the other day the oven was making a clicking noise. The following morning I was able to make pancakes on the stove, but 30 minutes later everything stopped functioning. I don't believe it's repairable and we will need to replace it. This is extremely disappointing as I trusted the KitchenAid brand. We purchased a full set of appliances 3 years ago (we previously had all KitchenAid appliances). The oven is no longer working and the freezer light in the refrigerator is also faulty and will need to be replaced (the lights in the fridge and freezer flicker constantly). We thought we were purchasing quality appliances, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's highly unlikely we will purchase or recommend KitchenAid again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this electric range about a month ago and deeply regret my decision. The temperature control panel for the oven faces up and is flush with the front edge of the cooktop surface. Spills and splatters from cooking land all over the panel requiring constant wiping. Additionally, the oven heats up the entire outside of the front door and above mentioned temperature control panel so much that those surfaces are dangerous to touch. I could feel the heat from the oven door on my leg and burned my hand on the control panel the first time I used the oven. I would not recommend this range to anyone!
6 weeks old and we are very sad we paid this much money for such a cheap finish. We were so excited to buy such a high end appliance for our forever home. We take great pride in our possessions and cleanliness. We read the whole manual for Care and use. The scratches on the top appear no matter how careful we are. We do not slide the pots we only use the cleaning kit to clean. We do not let anyone near the stove in fear of negligence and more damage. This is our 3rd electric glass cooktop and it is by far the most expensive and worst one ever. Definitely disappointed in Kitchen Aide.
