I'm a bit of a kettle collector forever looking looking for just the right one. This one is PERFECT, doesn't leak after pouring, it boils quickly and it's quiet. It's attractive and I love the colour. Thanks Kitchen Aid!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Iâm delighted with the purchase. The kettle looks very stylish! Easy to use and makes so many amenities for our family. If I need to boil warm water it's easy. Just click on the button to warm up to 50 degrees Celsius. If boiling water is up to 100 degrees Celsius. And the most favorite button is to keep the temperature and always hot water is ready. It boils quickly. There is a mark on how much water is needed. There is a removable filter mesh. The color of the kettle I would call graphite
Love the setting to control the heated water temperature as my black tea, green tea, hot cocoa, and even my oatmeal requires different temperature for optimum tasting results. Love that it is not too heavy when lifting it with water.
Bought this as Christmas gift for myself. Very nice looking Empire Red. Quietly heats water quickly. Easy to set up and start using. Would love it to be insulated and not hot to the touch on the outside. Normally heat water by the cup in microwave to drink tea. Which takes up no counter space. Using this I find the cord is very thick and isn't easy to keep on counter by anything else, since it's so hot on the outside. Not sure how much more or less electricity it will use compared to microwave? Takes up more counter space than I want it to because it's hot on the outside and can't have anything near it safely because the heat will effect other items. Prefer not to have to fuss with changing it from Fahrenheit to Celsius, default is Celsius.
I always buy Kitchenaid appliances, so I was happy to find this kettle in white. I like the temperature feature, I like the design, BUT the button on the lid doesn't easily open the lid after 3 months of daily use. That is irritating because it makes the kettle a little more difficult to open. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought my kettle in November and we use it a lot! I love everything about it, except that it started rusting a little at the lid after 2 months. I'm guessing this isn't supposed to happen. I submitted a customer service request so hopefully I'll hear some helpful news!
I have had this kettle for 2.5 years now but the lid has been broken for the better part of a year. The problem I see is that the lid is held on by a plastic part which is probably weakening due to coming into extreme heat every time the kettle is boiled. The thing that irks me about this situation is you can't seem to buy a replacement lid. That's frustrating for such an expensive kettle and the fact all our appliances are kitchen aid.
It looks great in my kitchen, boils water very quickly, but the screws holding the top of the handle have fallen off twice. They fell into the pot the first time I used it and with some effort my husband managed to screw them back into place, the very next time I used it two of them fell out again. It's not a good feeling pouring boiling water and the handle pulls away from the carafe. Disappointed with the usefulness.
It's extremely sturdy; I love the ability to battery-power the unit, the overall components were very strong and pleasing to look at while it worked, and you can manually enter a temperature of your choice. A couple of days after I got it, the lid stopped working and wouldn't open anymore and I pretty much had to rip it open just to get water inside, so I took it back and this model wasn't available so I got a different model which I like less, but the lid opens .
The kettle itself is fantastic. Our problem is that we discovered a little crack on the window. It didn't fall or anything. We brought it back and we got a replacement. In less than a month the exact same thing happened. I am going to bring it back tomorrow. I will purchase different brand. Sorry guys...
