The 101SW sounds awesome and looks awesome. Paired with my 600M II's to complete a 2.1 channel system. Get one. You'll thank yourself.
Very deep rich base even at low volume. Does not matter the type of music. Try play Genesis Trick of the tail. The house shakes.
After pairing this sub with a pair of R-15PM speakers in my bedroom, the sound is incredible. Before adding the sub to the R-15's, they were adequate at low volume on the low end but unimpressive. With the R-101SW sub added to the system, it was simply incredible. I always test out a new system with the vinly version of the song 15 steps from Radiohead and the sound really is incredible. I own a Polk sub as well as Sony sub, and this one is by far superior in its low frequency clarity. There is no muddiness in the bass, no matter how far I turn up the gain. And it really shines at lower volume, where the sub matches perfectly with monitors. Great value for the outstanding sound.
Absolutely love this sub this is my first Klipsch subwoofer I've ever owned my first sub I got 4 months ago was the Rockville rockshaker 10 the difference between it and the Klipsch r-100sw is night and day Klipsch no distortion clean clear beautiful hitting bass highly recommend this sub...Btw the Rockville is for sale lol
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this subwoofer to incorporate into my existing surround sound system. The first thing I noticed was the deep but extremely clear-sounding bass. It greatly increases the enjoyability of the entire system. It was extremely easy to set up and build quality/appearance is second to none. I can't recommend this product enough. It is a great value and will serve you well for years to come.
This is the missing link of making a good sounding stereo/entertainment system sound great. The overall volume as well as the frequency crossover can be dialed in to make everything sound full and resonant.
The subwooofer was really booming. I'm glad was able to get it for a less expensive price than it usually is. One thing missing though is a better instruction manual how to use the back of the woofer with all those knobs for newbies like me.
