I'm really impressed with the SPL-100…I have 2 in my home theater setup…Performance, depth and clarity are great…Superb value…I would highly recommend this sub for small to medium spaces…
I have klipsch sw112 and sub 12 synergy. I have used for 6 years but I bought SPL 100. It makes huge difference in Deep and clean bass. It's sound is more than two 12 inches sub.
Fills out 50khz and below with ease. Super happy with the way they paired with my floor standing speakers.
I recently bought the Klipsch Fives powered bookshelf speakers and just added this Klipsch subwoofer. The Fives have variable digital loudness software built-in and it took a little doing to experiment and clearly understand how to best use the subwoofer with it. It was time well spent as I can now make full use of the many input options on The Fives (including Bluetooth and optical cable) and adjust the subwoofer using only The Fives remote control.
Bought this subwoofer as addition to my Klipsch RP-6000F and must say its a great combination and love the full sound. Only have 1 remark, can't stand in full sun, the wrapping film at the back will let go.
If you're shopping for bass, here is where you get it. I paired this with my cinema 600 and everything is shaking but with clarity and precision. Super happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend. Other info that's helpful is that my room size is a medium size bedroom converted to a game room. 1- Con though. It's not a dealbreaker but something to know... sometimes the speaker has a delay on turning on. I've noticed that sometimes maybe the cinema 600 doesn't immediately tell the speaker that's it's time to go at the same time as everything else. Not sure why that is but it's obvious when it does turn on because my bass goes from 3 to 10.
Sub Woofer (SB). Replaced a JBL PB-10 that requires open heart surgery, shoddy assembly. Bought 2 SPL-100. Test sound dvd Doctor Strange. I started with A/V receiver set at +3dB and half volume of SB, far too intense. You could feel the shockwave. Final adjustment was -4.5dB on receiver and .4 on the SB. I'm impressed.
This sub is nice the bass is sick and I only have it connect to my Klipsch sound bar as an extra sub I can just imagine if it were connected to a receiver. I would recommend this you might shake the walls and move the floor but that's what it's for. Second to none and I compared this to Bose.
After reviewing other feedback I purchased a SPL-100 to accompany a pair of R-51M bookshelf speakers. I have these bookshelf speakers in my shop and was missing that bottom end punch. The SPL-100 was easy to connect and I appreciate the variable gain and cross-over tuning to dial in the sound. No joke this sub can really add depth on the low end of the scale. I am extremely satisfied and only wished I had purchased it earlier. Only downside for me is my low end Sony 2-channel amp only has a line level out so I need to adjust the gain depending on the primary volume. This is limitation of the amp, not the sub and I just dial in the bass I want.
After a lot of research. I went with the klipsch spl-100 10inch. The two reasons I purchased this subwoofer was because of the 450watts and another reason was because listed on another site listed a couple of times that it had a tweeter. I won't mention the website but it sounds like clamazon. When the box arrived It read 400 watts not 450 and guess what no tweeter. it's a great sub but I feel like I was misled being 400 watts and no tweeter. If i had known, I would have gone with the spl 120-10" while it was on sale. I love klipsch and will always buy their product the sub is a5 star. I gave a 3 star for the misleading information i'll probably return it and get the spl -120-12" 600 watt . I hope it goes on sale before my return limit is up. This really gets my goat.
