.com Survival Kids is an unconventional puzzle game that hooked us from the moment we powered it up. You control a young survivor who has been stranded on a deserted island after the sinking of a cruise ship. Armed only with your wits and a pocketknife, your challenge is to find a way the island. Along the way you'll find several more items that will help you progress through the game's devious puzzles. Fortunately, items can be combined to create complex objects that can be used in solving these challenges. In addition to the puzzles, your character must also keep a healthy supply of food and fresh water. You'll also want to stay rested if you aim to survive. Since this title plays on the Game Boy Color, it is no surprise that the graphics are adequate without being too fancy. The sound effects are also decent, but not overwhelmingly impressive. --T.
