[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Knorr's One Skillet Meal Southwestern Chicken Brown Rice & Quinoa delivers ever more than one would expect from a starter meal pack. This meal was packed with that smokey chipotle flavor mixed with the perfect touch of lime! I paired it with a crisp salad and the meal was sublime. The step by step instructions made preparation and cook time easy go lucky and an awesome dinner ready in less than 30 minutes. I'd suggest this to anyone wanting to incorporate brown rice and or quinoa into their diet. Knorr's Southwestern Chicken brown rice and quinoa one skillet meal starter truly shows you can serve healthy meals with an abundance of flavor without any artifical flavors and no colors from artificial sources added. All in all a super satisfying dining experience!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Knorr One Skillet Meal of chicken brown rice and quienoa was fantastic even my kids loved it had a little kick but now much. A nice fresh and Smokey flavor we had it on fajitas with cheese and sour cream and it was sublime!
I'm hooked! This was our weekly freebie from a local grocery. My first time ever to try Knorr. I don't know what I was thinking for 68 yrs! We loved the Southwestern Chicken. So I'm trying more. We eat a lot of chicken and this was a fresh delight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a huge fan of one pot meals. I work long hours and with a little one at home, I need to be able to cook something quickly that isn't junk. I loved that I had ingredients on hand to add to this Knorr's One Skillet Meal. It cooked quickly, the instructions were easy to follow, and best of all, everyone liked it, including my 5 year old. Pros: quick, easy, customizable (we threw in onions as well for some added flavor), didn't need any added seasonings. Cons: It didn't need as much water as it called for. We ended up letting it sit on the stove top for a little bit longer to help it absorb all the added liquid. I was also hoping there would be enough for some leftovers and there weren't. It was just enough for me, my boyfriend, and our son. All in all, I would definitely buy this to make at home for my family.
I made this and it tasted pretty delicious and was super easy. However it was pretty spicy, may add sour cream if I make it again. I don't like bell peppers so I skipped those, added the corn as directed along with a cup of black beans and an avocado. Came out great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Knorr one skillet meal is a very filling meal that does not disappoint the taste buds. The meal is packed with flavor and has very few and simple to follow directions which helps when you're a busy person trying to worry about dinner for the family after a long day. It would be nice if more of the ingredients were already in the bag ready to go but one shouldn't be too greedy. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, it's taste really hooked me in and how much was left over was a big plus. it really is a delicious plus it's good for you!!! Follow the recipe, & enjoy a tasty meal you can feel good about eating.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I decided to try knorr's southwest chicken and brown rice and quinoa, me personally I did not like it. My husband seemed to enjoy it. I found the dish flavorless and had the doctor it up a lot for me to enjoy it. The good thing I can say it is was simple and quick to make, so if you are pressed for time and weeknights it's perfect. My husbands on a fitness kick so he actually loved that it had brown rice and quinoa, its not high in calories and has good grain and a lot of protein. Perfect for food prep for the week. So my overall thought is good to have in the house for a quick fix but not something I would request for dinner.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always keep staples in my freezer and pantry like chicken and corn that this called for, so all I had to get was the bell peppers. This was easy to make and pretty good. I'd like to try another variety in this line and I'll probably purchase this one and have it again. Not too spicy and I added grated cheese and avocado slices to mine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the idea of a meal starter kit. To me that reads dinner simplified and it was! All the kit calls for is 2 bell peppers, frozen corn and chicken. Lucky enough for me I keep frozen chicken and corn in the freezer so it made this meal even more simple. To prep, all I had to do was cut the bell peppers and drench the chicken in flour. This meal starter kit has only 3 steps! First, you cook the veggies and set them aside. The second step is browning the chicken. Last but not least, you literally just dump water and the packet into the pan with the chicken for only 20 minutes! Now this recipe took me about 35 minutes to make... Not bad! But I had to rate this meal 2 stars because of it's flavor. It smelled better than it tasted. It had that southwest flavor but it was very bland. I really wanted to like this meal kit but unfortunately I would not purchase it again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With a title like "Southwestern Chicken Brown Rice & Quinoa...seasoned with smoked chipotle & lime flavor" I thought this meal starter would provide a power packed flavoring. Unfortunately, after sharing the meal with a college-age sibling, and a husband, we all agreed that it was quite bland. The instructions on the back of the package were helpful, as far as amount of time to cook each ingredient. As a result, the texture of quinoa and rice was very good, cooked thoroughly, and not too soggy. Since most of the ingredients required separate purchase and prep, this product was not worth the effort. I could have added the quinoa and rice from my own pantry, and most certainly a better combination of spices for a more potent flavor. Over all, the packaging and instructions were attractive and helpful, but the product itself was lackluster.
