Good quality-easy process
This was a great find. The price was the best I've found. It does exactly what I was looking for it to do.
I began my prep with a simple washing and sweeping of the RV roof. It had been patched and repaired with at least 3 other products in the past including what looked like good ole fashioned tar. I had minor surface cracks and some peeling of those older products. I removed the loose materials. The Kool Seal was rolled on and detailed with a brush. The first coat was thin, and appeared inadequate to seal the cracks. I let that coat dry about an hour and reapplied a second coat. This stuff goes on like thin caulk and sealed nicely with the second coat. The total product used was just over 1/2 of the gallon can which gave some for reapplication at a later time. I delayed reviewing this product until it had been tested in the rain. Two rain storms, no leaks. I will keep an eye on the roof for developing issues but for $22.00 and about 2 hours time, I am very happy.
I built a kennel for my puppy then put a tin roof on it. Was very hot inside until I painted the roof with Kool Seal. Now I sit in it with her while she's playing. Good stuff.
I read reviews about using this product on RVs but I have an older RV with a metal roof and this product worked great.
My pool kept leaking and I couldn't find the hole (s). I bought this and put it on the bottom of the pool and it seemed to fix it!
Bought this instead of flex seal. Not only did this stuff work great but it was easy to apply by just rolling it on with a paint roller. The white was vibrant and my neighbor thought I replaced my pop up camper top with a new unit. Great product and has keep the heavy storm water out after the first coat. I am ready to apply the second coat. One gallon was enough to do the entire top. The pic attached is after the first coat.
I used Kool Seal White Elastomeric Roof Coating to cover weather exposed CDX Paneling. Now CDX in itself is an exterior panel material, but NOT if it is directly exposed to the elements, (rain, snow, ice, sun, humidity, etc., etc.). My project is an 8 x 8 "lean to" for my lawn tractor. I applied Kool Seal to one surface and the all the ends. The CDX really sucked up the sealant. I only bought (1) gallon, so I was only able to apply (3) coats. Very easy application with a roller for my project. The consistency was twice as thick as a good regular exterior paint, and cost less. I applied Kool Seal several days ago and it has rained several times since. I would say at this point My CDX panel is NOT going to make it. Moisture is still seeping into the ends of the paneling even with several coats of Kool Seal. I can see the CDX panel beginning to swell. With that being said, I still think that Kool Seal is a good product if used for the correct applications listed on the can.
Purchased this to protect and renew the roof on a pop up camper after reading many positive reviews. At first it looked great. But after it rained and a few leaves sat on top of the roof for a few days, the roof became horribly stained from the leaf tannin. Not only that but the coating started blistering from where it got wet while I was trying to clean it. I contacted KST coatings about the issue. No help at all. Very disappointed with this product. Its getting removed this weekend.
Although reviews stated that this product was compatible with RV roofs, the directions on the container specifically stated "not to be used on rubber roofs". Description needs to be more specific.
