My husband love this product. It is good to have. You can use it for different things like fencing and cut woods. And other things. That I can think of. It came quickly. I didn't expect it to come that early. . It's come in a very small case. But have a lot of power. I Will recommend this product to everyone who ask. And will love to work outside.
This is a tool that helps complete wood projects. It is a small kit but it gets the job done. It comes with nails and other accessories that may be needed to get a project done. It is an easy to use kit. The directions are helpful and easy to follow. If you need this tool I highly recommend this brand and this kit. It is small but very handy to make wooden frames and other things.
A simple and very easy to use jig. Came complete with all the essentials that allowed me to go to work right away on a gate construction. However, Still an ideal basic pocket hole jig for anyone who doesn't need the bells and whistles required for professional users. No doubt, I'll find or create plenty of uses for this jig in future projects. I must add the measures on the box helps even more.
This review is for the Kreg R3 Jig R3 Pocket Hole System. This is a great thing to have if you like to build things with wood or have a business building things with wood. This tool helps with building things such as bookcases and shelves. This includes a clamp pad adapter which allows it to be clamped down and held in place while working on your project. It works with thin and thick wood projects as well. It comes in a nice little case to store everything which I love and it is easy to get everything to fit back in the case when you are finished. My husband and I are by no means experts and just starting out with building projects but when we used this last week when trying to build our second item which is a small bookcase this definitely made it easy to get that pocket holes that we needed. This is a well made tool that does exactly what it say it does and it easy to use even for the beginners like us. We are pleased with this product and it will help us to build many, many more things to come with precision and ease.
I'm going to write this review on the new Kreg Jig R3. First I want to start out by saying im a jack of all trades and master of none and sometimes I find myself not having the correct tool for the job or i do have it but don't know how to use it. With that being said i am giving the Kreg Jig R3 5 out of 5 stars. My reason for rating this product so high is because it's everything you need in one small convenient box. Worried how in the world you will figure out how to use this product? Well worry no more the easy how to use guide in the owner's manual will have you creating strong joints with the correct hardware for the job. Did i mention the fact that it comes with all the hardware that you could possibly need for different materials used. Wow im just a sucker for a product that really works and can help me get the job done right and so much quicker. I look forward to using more kreg products in the future I am sure they will be just as good as the Kreg Jig R3.
First off, the packaging was great on this. The plastic storage box is nice so it will protect the items from dirt or some water, if needed. The product itself is quite nice. It all is very durable and seems it will last a long time. I'm looking forward to using these for a long time to come.
I gifted this to my husband because I honestly didn't not know what in the world to with this thing and unfortunately I'm totally clueless when it comes to tools of any sort. Upon opening the box, he was very pleased with the quality and durability of the materials and all of the tools. It came with straightforward instruction booklet and guide on how to use it and what you could use it for. The case is very organized and every I don't the has its place and clip ends to wear nothing will fall out or get loose around in side the Box. There are also bags with accessories that go with it to keep everything separate and available when you need it. The size makes a difference in our home because right now we're running low on space in the garage and and our cabinets. This will absolutely come in handy when we purchase our home here in a few months and need to do do some repairs. It's compact and doesn't take up too much space but really comes in handy! A+
Based on my very limited amateur experience, I think the Kreg R3 Jig is the most innovative thing to happen to woodworking since powered tools. Even though this is an entry level jig, it makes it so easy to create pocket hole joints that it almost seems like cheating. I have only made a simple shelf unit with it, but I can see many future projects that I can now do quickly and without a lot of stress. If you require a more advanced set, the higher level Kreg jigs add features like the ability to mount to a work bench. The jig is easier to use when you pair it with a quality Face Clamp like the one available from Kreg. That one also integrates into the jig so it makes it faster to move to the next spot after drilling a pocket hole. The joints that are created with this jig are stronger and faster that those created with nails and glue. Also, unlike nails and glue, you can also remove the screws if required for one reason or another. As far as predicted durability, the pilot bit and the metal sleeves do not show any wear so far and seem to be manufactured from top quality hardened materials. The slides that are used for the depth settings work relatively well but in my opinion could have a more solidly mechanism. They do, however, make is easy to start on your project quickly. Be aware that one negative is the small case that the set comes in. The limited number of screws and plugs that this set comes with will fit in there if you arrange them carefully, but there is no room for any decent reserve number of screws and plugs. This can be easily remedied by dedicating a separate small toolbox just for your jig set and related hardware. The screws that I used were the ones that Kreg offers. They cost more than regular screws, but to me they seem to be worth it. You can tell the quality of the screws even from first use – they are very sharp and work seamlessly with the jig set. They are also available in various sizes and for different types of wood. Overall I think this entry level jig is well worth the cost for the time and stress savings.
I received this product for my honest rating and review. I received Creg Jig R3 Pocket Hole System. It it the home improver's solution for building with wood. It comes with the Meet Jig R3, stepped still bit, 6" square drive bit, starter screw set, starter plug set and a user manual. All this in a small portable case. I am happy with this set rating it 4 out of 5 and do reccomend it for small home improvements.
This is a nice Kreg Pocket Hole System set. It works really well for what it is intended. I think it is so nice having things like this when you are making wood furniture. Or to use when you need to make a repair to an already made piece of furniture. Making the holes for the screw hidden makes your furniture look so much better. The system has really good instructions with it. They are step by step. And good details. And there are two ways to attach the guide to your wood. You can clamp it (clamp NOT included), or you can screw it to your wood. It also comes with several types of screws and some plugs. I really like how it comes in a case. The case has tabs to hold all the parts in so that they do not move all around when you are transporting it somewhere. And the tabs hold things in real well. There is also a place on the outside of the case to put a lock thru if you wanted to lock it. The case also has a guide to use when you are setting the depth gauge on how far you want the screw to go into your wood. That guide is really helpful so that you do not end up going all the way thru the wood. And its not hard to use. The hardest part was putting the drill bit back in the case with the guide on it. But that was only because the guide moved a little. If you keep it in place, then there is no problem.
