This is my favorite primer. It goes on smooth with a light, even mist that's easy to control. I've also used rustolium, but it can be too dry and rough. I do a lot of painting projects and, when I'm not using an airbrush, Krylon is my favorite paint and primer. Always shake the can for a couple minutes before you start and several times while spraying, and don't spray if it's too cold.
Works great as primer for painting 3D-printed PLA models. It seems a little disingenuous to say "dries in 10 minutes / handle in an hour" -- because how is it dry if you can't handle it? But whatever. Nice sprayer design so the paint doesn't get on your finger.
Planned to use this for a simple home project. I bought Krylon primer and, thankfully, Rustoleum paint. The Krylon primer actually damaged my project by sputtering and throwing globs of primer-- not a smooth spray. It was unusable. Worst can of paint I have ever bought. This was not an inexpensive can of primer. I feel cheated.
