Compared to the NS4, which with clamp is about $225, this is a bargain. I use it with Q Snap stretchers and it's just fine; however, I do put a jar opener in the clamp so the plastic Q Snap doesn't slip on the wood. I'm about to try rubberized shelving paper. That too should work.
This frame has saved my wrists from pain while working my needlepoint project. It's difficult to put together as the instructions are unclear but not to hard to figure out.
Instructions for assembly could have been a little better, but I went onto YouTube and was able to get my assembly question answered. However, I spent more time tightening the screws, that kept coming loose, than I did stitching. Aggravating.
The clamp does not fit the q-snap well and will not stay tight. It is overpriced.
