When it expands, it has a firm piece to put in the bottom of the basket to hold its shape and be a sturdy base for whatever you choose to put inside! The pink is adorable, and works perfectly for my daughter's room, and the little handles are a cute gold color.

It's extremely sturdy and not flimsy like some storage baskets. It's great for storing their toys, dolls, books, whatever needs to be picked up at the time.
