I love the gothic design, it adds an architectural dimension. It was a little tricky putting it together, all the black washers are for the screen, the screen needs to bend a little, I was afraid of breaking it. But I think the manufacturer had that figured so it bends fine. The clay, and black colors look great! It makes a great fire and the domed screen allows it to go high. We live in the city so we have to keep the screen on the fire. I have looked at so many fire pits online and in retail stores and for the price this is the best looking, and size for us.
I am so impressed with the superior design, color contrast, and precision construction....all hardware connecting points lined up beautifully and assembly was, therefore, easy and swift. I have not as yet built a fire to observe the ultimate test, but the ridged and vented bottom features leave no doubt about the igniting capacity.
