My family likes to travel "carry-on" only, so packing light and keeping our things well-organized and compact is a priority. I bought the eBags packing cube 3-piece set in two colors. Once filled, they can be stacked 2 or 3 high in our 22" carry-on bags, with room left over for a pair of shoes, a slim toiletry kit or one of the long, "slim" packing cubes. Last night I did a "test run" to see how many items would fit in each large packing cube. I placed 7 large folded T-shirts, a pair of folded jeans and 2 pairs of shorts in the large bag. I could have stuffed in a couple more things, but I wanted to see how much would fit comfortably. The handle on the bags is handy for packing and unpacking it, and when I get to my destination, unpacking will be as simple as unzipping the top of the bag and placing it in a dresser drawer. Also, since I'll be packing my daughter's clothes in the same suitcase on our upcoming vacation, I can put my clothes in one bag and hers in another, keeping them organized and tidy. If our bags are inspected at the airport, we won't have to worry about our underthings getting scattered hither and yon: the packing cubes' mesh tops makes the contents readily visible, while keeping everything organized and easy to repack. I also bought a set of "medium" cubes, which I plan to use for PJs/socks/underwear, and to corral small things like cell phone chargers and headphones.
These were just about as I expected: Way too expensive for what they are, but practical and necessary.
I have bought these bags as gifts. They are wonderful for organizing your suitcase. I pack one with tops, another with bottoms, third with everything else. Just pull out of suitcase and put in the drawers!
The bags have come in handy for packing. Its my first time using them they hold the items in place easy to find things. I dont have to tear the whole suit case apart.
