I've never had one of Sarah's albums before but I'm so glad I have this one. I love all of it. It's easy for me to learn and sing along to. I especially love "Heartbreak". Would recommend to anyone who enjoys this style of music.
This is not my first CD by Sarah, but I would have to say that it definitely ranks as one of my favorite song collections for modern music. I just love the song "Out of Tune", my favorite song on this CD. I find this music to be a great easy listening collection. I will continue to listen to it at work since it is not distracting at all and perfect for a public setting, in which clients are expecting / used to some background music. I find the songs have good beats and the variety is great, without going into extremes. I really appreciate the uplifting tone of the album and Sarah's voice is truly phenomenal. I would recommend this CD for any fan of Sarah's as a must have, but would also recommend this to people who like easy listening music, but may not be familiar with Sarah McLachlan. Give it a try, you will not regret it.
I was thrilled to hear that Sarah was coming out with a new album. I had always loved her and was when I saw her at the beginning of the Olympics, I was thrilled! So that made me want to find out when her next album is coming out. The Laws of Illusion album is fantastic. Her voice never sounded purer and I couldn't have asked for a better addition to my CD collection. "Awakenings" is a soulful song with great lyrics and calming music. This is a fantastic album to just sit and relax with some candles and a nice hot bubble bath. If you have liked past albums by Sarah, then you will LOVE this one. I couldn't recommend anything higher. Definitely worth the wait.
As an old fan of Sarah, I was anxious to hear her new music. She did not disappoint! With her distinct sound, all the tracks on this cd are amazing.
Laws of Illusions...where to begin? Loved the album...Sarah's voice is magical, breathtaking, flawless, all of the above. This album, much anticipated, since she has not released an album in so long. You will not be disappointed.
I couldn't wait to hear Sarah after so many years she did it again!!
This was well worth the 7 year hiatus and one of my "go to" CD's when I need some down time. I can throw this in the player and go about my business without feeling too chaotic. As a person who loves to have a 'soundtrack' going through my day, I'm happy. Thank you, Sarah!
If you are a true Sarah McLachlan you will not be disappointed by this CD.

If you are a fan of SARAH MCLACHLAN, you will not be disappointed by the long awaiting release of her new compilation, LAWS OF ILLUSION. The new recording is a bit slow out of the gate with “Awakenings” and “Illusions of Bliss” sounding a like the Sarah of old, but tracks like “Loving You Is Easy” and “Forgiveness” clearly demonstrate the life experiences that have influenced both the lyrics and the composition of her new music. All things said LAWS OF ILLUSION is a pleasant gathering of thoughts put onto paper as meaningful lyrics and expressed through the beautiful music and voice of Sarah that we've all come to appreciate.
