Very good and easy convenient great taste
Saw this for the first time at our local family store. Bought 3, really liked them, will buy again for sure.
I really enjoy this product. It is light and just right for a meal that doesn't leave you feeling stuffed.
Sometimes I like this and sometimes I don't. I have a weird thing about shrimp in a microwave, and sometimes I think there's a weird aftertaste. But this could be in my imagination. So I rarely eat this one, I have to be just in the right kind of mood. I think if I could make it on a pan in on the stove I'd be better with it.
I have bought this dish a couple of times and have always pretty much liked the taste. However, the sauce bubbles out of the packaging every single time i cook it and makes a mess in my microwave which is very frustrating. I also find myself disappoionted frequently because most of the time when I eat this I have a ton of pasta and sauce but sometimes no more than 3 shrimp, maybe 4. Definitely not a consistent dish and with the mess it gives me I find myself avoiding it. It's disappointing because the flavor of the sauce and vegetables and (few) shrimp is good.
I recently tried this meal. I don't currently have a microwave and this particular meal doesn't have instructions for a regular oven. It said not to do it like that so I had to heat it up on the stove top and it was awful. Never again until I get a microwave.
I've tried most of the Lean Cuisine products and have found most of them acceptable. I've never written a review for one yet, so this is a first. I wish it was positive. The microwave instructions worked perfectly. The dish was hot, and cooked throughout. Also, there was sufficient sauce to coat the pasta and a good supply of shrimp. The first thing I noted when tasting it is the excessive use of garlic. It was definitely a dominant flavor. Next, I personally found the use of bell peppers to be unpleasant. They added a sweetness to the sauce that didn't seem to belong. I really wanted to like this as I'm a seafood fan. Unfortunately this one didn't make the cut. For quality and value I'm still giving a five star, as I think the ingredients and recipe were as intended, and the price point was similar to competing products. However, taste is subjective, and I'm going to have to give it a 1 star.
This was the first time I tried this dish; the pasta was yummy, and the sauce tasted great even if it was a bit watery. The problem was the shrimp themselves. They were small instead of medium, which wouldn't be an issue, as there were enough, but after following the instructions they came out super tough and rubbery. Looking more into this product I saw that the shrimp were normally raw; mine were pink and clearly precooked. I'm not sure if something changed or it's just a bad batch, but I probably won't buy this one again.
I LOVED the "Shrimp and Angel Hair Pasta" and purchased often. I was disheartened when I saw the "new and improved" was higher in calories and fat but figured I would give it a whirl. It was AWFUL! The garlic taste and smell was overwhelming in a not so good way (and I love garlic!). Could not get the taste out of my mouth for hours. Threw the second box I bought in the trash (and stunk up the whole house, ughh). Please bring back the old recipe so I can purchase again!!!!
I have eaten Lean Cuisine for a long time and always liked the food but last night I had the Shrimp scampi for the first time and it was awful. The sauce didn't taste like scampi sauce at all. It tasted like it had some kind of different herb that shouldn't be in it. I threw it away.
