These little learning spiders are adorable! They have detachable heads with numbers on them that allow you to match the number of dots on the bug's body to help you count and identify numbers! Very clever these little bugs. You can even interchange the bug bodies and put together different colors and dots and add them up and choose the correct spider head with the correct number on it. This provides tons of learning fun! The holes that connect each piece are not big enough to stick little fingers in them so that's great. The colors are fun and vibrant and the bug faces are very cute. My eighteen month old had such a fun time playing with these and she loves to pull things apart and connect them and put them back together again over and over so this provided non stop activity play time for her. This is a great learning toy for all ages, especially for children being introduced to counting and numbers. These little bugs will be used now for my child and well on into her grade school years! I absolutely love these cute little learning bugs and so does my little one! I would absolutely recommend these little learning bugs to anyone!
Snap-n-Learn Number Bugs (age 2+) My kids (age 8 and 6) love these bugs. The bugs come in three parts a head and the body is in two parts. The head of each bug has one number zero through five on it. The body parts have dots on each side that add up to the number on the head. Each bug is a bright color (green, orange, red, blue, yellow, and purple). The bugs are easy to put together and stay together for other play as well. My 6 year old snapped the bugs together very quickly according to color but struggled when I told him he needed at least two different body parts to equal the head number. After he changed gears into putting the bugs together with addition he got very quick with it and wanted more bugs and higher numbers. To say the least he was disappointed that the bugs only went up to the number five. I as a parent would have like to see the bugs go up to the number 10 or even 20. Overall I think that this product is a success and will hold up to hard play when kids use them for other play activities. Two thumbs up from my kids!
These bugs are super cute and chunky, great for little hands, and easy for little ones to put together all on there own. You get a total of 18 pieces that when put together they equal 6 bugs, with numbers ranging from 0 to 5, and the colors are purple, yellow, orange, red, blue and green. Every bug has a number on it's head and coordinating number of dot's on it's back. I also like the container it comes in, perfect for storage, and it has a nice handle on the top of the lid. Not only are these bugs super cute, but they are very well made, they are sturdy and I can see them lasting a long time even with everyday play. The colors are great as well, nice and bright, good for both boys and girls. My little boy has had great fun playing with these bugs, he loves to take things apart and put them back together and these are perfect for that kind of play. All of the bugs have the same holes, so my son loves to mix them all up and then take them apart so he can put them back together with the correct matching color and number. Once the bugs are put together the fit is quite snug, and they do not fall apart so the kids can actually "play" with the bugs. Overall I am very pleased with this toy, it is great quality, easy to use, and the kids will have fun playing with it for hours, all while building motor skills, learning colors, and numbers.
Okay, I was honestly skeptical about this in the beginning because I didn't realize it was for two year olds and older, But once I let my one year old get to it on Christmas morning I was surprised at how quickly he learned how to assemble them! The lid to the bucket is screw style so your little one can toss it around as much as they want and you don't have to worry about bugs exploding everywhere. I started by taking them all apart and mixing them up and he slowly but surely started learning how to reassemble them. Another big plus for most parents is if it's a possible choking hazard and it's not! I thought they were going to be really tiny until I saw them up close. He chews on them every now and again, But that I can live with. Also, if this may bother someone once they start toss them around the color is going to wear away as anything a child owns does after rough play. This doesn't necessarily bother me, but just a side not for parents with kids that are rough on their toys. In conclusion, I highly recommend this product, It helps with motor skills, Doesn't run on batteries so that's always a plus, And when he gets done assembling them he can play his version of pretend with them!
This set is great for toddlers! They will love pulling the bugs apart and putting them back together. The bugs are well made and will last for a long time. This is great for learning colors, counting dots and number recognition. The colors are vibrant. The bugs are big but not too big for little hands. It is too simple for my Kindergarteners but I plan to put it in my ‘free center' anyway as it is fun to take things apart and put back together. They can see who can do it the fastest. The container is well made. The bugs must be taken apart to fit into the container. They will have to twist to take the lid off and put it back on which is a great motor skill exercise. I think it would fun to have one student put the bugs together with the wrong head or body pieces and get another student to correct in a certain amount of time. My 4 year old niece enjoyed playing with this set. She lined them up on the floor in order once she put together. Also, it is good for the kids to see that one bug has no dots. Sometimes we forget to teach zero when learning to count.
I just love these little bugs. I have used with my little therapy patients for fine motor skills as well as distraction with counting and colors. And they love trying to put the bugs together. It is for ages 2+ and that is perfect for the little ones I work with. And the parts are large enough to NOT be a choking hazard for the younger children. Just a perfect educational toy and not too many pieces to keep track of. The parts easily separate for cleaning. Comes in a handy carrying container to keep the parts organized. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a simple, safe toy that addresses various early education areas.
These learning number bugs are a perfect tool for any child aged 2 and up. They are colorful and sturdy. You snap the pieces together to make a "numbered bug". There are 18 pieces. My grand child that is a special program because of a learning disability goes to pre-school and he took it for show and tell. She told me it was a great learning tool for him. It also helps him with his colors. He was so excited and happy. That was my goal. I would recommend this "Snap and Learn" toy for any child. They not only enjoy the toy but they learn numbers and colors too. It has an adorable barrel like carrying case so it is easy to store. This would make an excellent Holiday or Birthday gift as well as a surprise present for any day or occasion.
Features chunky, snap-together pieces that are easy for little hands to manage as they build adorable bug friends and fine motor skills simultaneously. I chose the Snap and Learn Number Bugs to keep for when younger family/ friends kids came to my house to visit. It is labeled as safe for children age 2 and up. They came in clear plastic container with a twist on lid and handle. They take up hardly any space to store them and the container makes for easy cleanup when they are done playing. In total there are eighteen brightly colored pieces - six heads and twelve body pieces. Each head has a number on it ranging from zero to five and the bodies display dots, in a pattern similar to domino's, ranging from zero to five. Their bodies first snap together by matching the same color pieces then the child chooses the correct head to correspond with the number of dots on its back and places it onto the bug. The kids will have fun using their number, color, counting and coordination skills to put these cute and colorful little bugs back together. There are no small pieces to pose a choking hazard and they can easily be cleaned by simply wiping them with a warm damp cloth. I think they would be a great addition to any household with small kids who are learning their numbers and to count.
The numbers on the bugs head help children learn to count. They can learn to recognize what the numbers look like. The dots help them see exactly how much that number is and how much it is worth. The bright colors makes it easy to learn colors. I took the bugs apart and mixed the up. The bright colors made it easy to see the like colors and put back together. The pieces are a plump making it easy for little hands to hold them. Some of the pieces were real tight and they had to really struggle to get them apart. Yet a piece was so loose it just dropped off when I held it up. I have concerns about the safety of these bugs. The white paint on the eyes and the black on the dots on the bugs back scratches off with a few days of play. Is the paint safe? I would not recommend this product to anyone because of the safety issues.
