The wires are long enough for an 8 foot bed. that is was I put it on. It also has a switch on it to adjust for any rear mounts. Trailer hitch, spare tire ect.. The bad things are 1) Distance meter is in metrics though. 2) directions are very lacking. 3) there is not a switch to shut it off for times when backing up a trailer.( I wired one in for such this reason.)
