[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this fixture right at the top of our basement stairs so the light shines downward. We recently remodeled and needed something more then just a night light that really doesnt guide you to where you're going. Alot of fixtures give off a bright light but going down the stairs it will just blind you and serves no purpose. This shielded LED step light points directly down so you can walk safely without light shining in your face. We hard wired this in so it stays on all the time which is perfect for us. Very easy installation, very nice mat bronze color, blends in with all our other brown accent pieces.

It appears to be built to last a long time. The brightness when hooked to a power source is enough to light a large step. Look forward to finishing our deck so we may order more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found out that I could not use this light. I cannot break a hole in my wall to insert. Unfortuantely, I was not aware of this and thought it would be a light that I may hang onto the wall by hook or naiuls instead.
