Took a little long to get delivered
My 15 year old son loves these type of legos. This was one he really enjoyed building. Didn't take him long but he's a ‘pro' Star Wars LEGO builder :P
I love this set but I am going to first say the negatives, The turret is too long but you can easily shorten the turret if you want, this set is missing the stripe down the middle but the stripe down the middle is such a small detail that I don't care about. This set goes great with the 501st sets I have. I love the Ahsoka Tano and the 332nd trooper or if you prefer Ahsoka's clone trooper. The A.A.T is very fun to build and has amazing details. I don't think that I will be buying a second set though because the main reason I would buy another set is for the clone trooper. This overall is an amazing replica of the clone wars A.A.T and it's so much fun!
When i saw this set reveal one June 1st i knew it was a must have it is a amazing set for the figures which will sell really well and overall i really enjoyed the build it was really relaxing unlike some other builds and the set looks a bit funky but it is a great playset overall. I would recommend this to anyone that wants one. The only thing that bothered me was that my clone was misprinted but it is really hard to find one so don't worry about it.
It is not accurate at all, to start with the side turrets - the long blaster should be on the top, moving on to the top turret - the commanders hatch can not be closed without folding the droid and the barrel is way too long, finally the body - with the fact that it is too short after the front hatch the round part should extend further. After accuracy we have price, with 10 more pieces than the 501st battlepack and 2 less minifigures why would the price go up 10 dollars
The two minifigures were the biggest selling point for me in this set. This is a great for a fun build and minifigs; this is not a great for building an army of Ashoka clone troopers nor screen accuracy. The good: * The clone trooper and Ashoka minifigures are beautiful. * The ATT is well balanced regardless of turret orientation. * The ATT utilizes a lot of interesting building techniques resulting in a fun build. * Only two stickers that are easily applied. The neutral: * Price per piece is a bit high compared to all LEGO sets, but relatively in-line within the LEGO Star Wars theme. * This set would be much more compelling if a second Ashoka's clone trooper was included. The not so good: * Ashoka's head piece is oversized compared to the way she appears in Clone Wars. * Ashoka's lightsabers are same length -- one is supposed to be shorter than the other. * The main gun on the tank is way too long. * The color pattern on the ATT is a bit off compared to what appears in Clone Wars.
The AAT itself is a fun build, but I found I had to add an extra stud to keep the top “dome” like piece on the top. The mini figs speak for themselves, all are really good.
Decent price and quick delivery
It's an alright design for people who don't care for 100% accuracy and it's definitely a good play-set for kids.
Ahsoka Tano is one of the best looking characters out of the lego Star Wars lineup. The tank is fantastic with the functional parts. The laser blaster actually has a nice shot to it, and the droids fit so doors can close completely. The tank itself however is not that strong, small in comparison to other ships, and the side blasters fall off often. Keep in mind I play with mine like I'm still a child.
