Got this as a gift at my Baby Shower and it is hands down best video/sound I have experienced in baby monitors! All the features I need and more in a baby monitor. The range and quality are both excellent, the picture is crystal clear, the sound is amazing. Not to mention I can record video and take pictures all from the touch screen control pod. Everything put together makes this monitor so easy to use and definitely a must-have for moms.
I was searching on line for livestock monitors and they were all thousands of dollars. I found this one and loved the long range feature. I keep the Camera in the barn and the monitor in my room so I can hear any commotion during the night. This will really come in handy when the babies are due to be born ;) The Night vision feature is just amazing, I can see all my animals in the dark with ease. I can rotate the camera to see every corner of the barn. So I can sleep easier each night knowing my Pot belly pig, 3 horses, 15 alpacas, 12 geese, 1swan and 50+ chickens are safe each night.
I'm a first time mom so this is the first time I've used a baby monitor. Set up was really easy literally plug in camera and plug in monitor to charge and your done. I have it on the top of a book shelf in our daughter's nursery. Very pleased with the picture quality and all the extra features. The zoom works really well and so does the turning radius on the camera. I can literally see every inch of her room, from the crib, to the glider, doorway, and changing table. Love the two way communication makes it so much easier. I've noticed if you hold the monitor away from your mouth a little it doesn't sound muffled and is very clear. Night vision works well a little hard to see at first but then you get used to it. We've been using this monitor for about 2-3 months. Would recommend this product.
The Keera Baby Video Monitor does an excellent job on all of the things that matter most. I have crisp video of our baby and it captures sound very well. The range is good and doesn't eat up wireless bandwidth like some of the WiFi router-based products. Only complaints are that it lacks a few finesse options. For instance, you can only choose to have the video off or on all night; an option that brings up video when noise registers would have been nice. Also, during twilight the camera is confused as to whether it should try to display color or night vision; an option to manually switch between the two would have helped in a few instances.
So I purchased this for my 14 month old son and I was very excited to get it. It was sleek and appealing to the eye and the night vision is pretty good (even though my husband disagreed). The user interface on the parent monitor was too animated (childlike) for me. I was expecting a more mature appearance (i.e the icons look cheesy). Nonetheless, it worked great and if you're not a picky person you probably will love it. But let me offer this caveat: while the horizontal range of motion is excellent (almost 360 degrees), the vertical range of motion was poorly designed. It can move very high towards the ceiling and beyond, but it cant go down to the floor (unless you have it sitting on the floor lol). Why would my son be on the ceiling? Unless your child is Spiderman, chances are you will find him on the floor before you find him on the ceiling. So, mainly because of that, it was returned and refunded. Still on the hunt for a baby monitor.
Literally cannot see anything when the nursery is dark which makes this useless. Whose baby's room is bright?! Picture on the left is lights on, right is lights off.
Unless I was in the room right below the base it would show a blank screen. Even doing that, the video would be ok, but the sound would be spotty.
We have had this monitor for almost 2 years, and while the picture is great, that's about it. The range is horrible and nowhere near what it claims. In our small 2-story house, it will lose signal at the other end of the upper level, which means that in our bedroom we can't even get a signal all the time. It usually works on the main floor, but never in the basement and not outside unless we're directly under her room. It really defeats the purpose of even having a monitor. Our relatives have a different brand that claims to have a shorter range, however it reaches at least 4 times as far as ours does. Will not be buying any Levana monitor again.
I purchased this monitor for my second Childs room. After pretty light use I'm really disappointed with my purchase. The camera quality is not at all as good as my newly purchased Levana monitor for my first child, the battery life is horrid on this "opened" monitor, and the signal frequently goes out (especially if it's near another monitor or near my cell phone). This is the 2nd opened monitor I purchased (not thrilled with that one either)... Although you save a little bit of money up front, it's not worth it. I am now purchasing a new monitor, different brand, with 2 cameras to accommodate my 2 kids' rooms.
We previously owned the Levana Astra and loved it. It broke and we replaced it with this as they looked to be very similar. Upon receiving it I realized I absolutely hated it within 24 hours. The whisper feature on this model compared to our last is absolute garbage and does nothing but kill the battery. The noise the Astra made to signify that it was dying would wake me up so that I didn't risk sleeping through it dying and thus making having a monitor pointless. The alarm on this model is horrible and doesn't wake me up at all so between the poor battery life and dying battery alarm, at night it has to remain plugged in. In addition to this, the quality of the camera in general is worse. The picture is not clear at all despite placing it in the exact same place as the previous model. Also, countless nights the night vision decides it doesn't want to work making it impossible to see anything. In order to get it working again you have to mess with the settings and turn it on and off twenty times until it finally corrects itself. Overall, absolute garbage and waste of money. Absolutely wouldn't purchase again and wish video monitors weren't so expensive that I could justify buying a different one.
