[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got my first soundbar and I for this I tried the LG Soundbar SLM6Y, at first I was disappointed because the packaging was not fully closed when it was delivered, but once I took a look inside I was glad nothing was missing. Right out of the box, everything was packaged carefully with individual bags and wrapped neatly. It included the batteries for the remote, the remote, optical audio cable, instructions and even a cutout as a guide for the installation of the bar. It was easy to pair with my phone via Bluetooth and I thought there was going to be extra steps for the subwoofer but I just plugged into the wall and it connected by itself right away, both combined sound amazing. I have it in a room that is about 20' by 15' and the 420 watts is enough for watching TV or listening to music. After adjusting the bass and treble it sounded even better, the HDMI ARC connection makes it easy for my TV to control the soundbar so I only use the remote to make minor adjustments but other than that I can control the volume and power from the TV, the volume can be adjusted from my phone while playing music. The 3.1 channel sound is better than expected and with the dts virtual X helps the sound for a better experience. Overall great design, value and it's ready for the additional wireless speakers (SPK8-S) to have the surround sound and I will consider getting them soon, stay tuned for that video. The bar could use a better box that stays closed.

Very easy to install and pair the subwoofer. The look is very beautiful as well but the sound is great. You will hear a clear surround sound like you are in a movie theater. The entire family love it so much. I played kids music for our little one and we all loved it. I will recommend it to every household. Easy Bluetooth connection.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got my sound bar hooked up yesterday. Easy to set up but can't keep it from jumping back to Internal Speakers when I switch inputs. Kind of aggravating. I googled the fix and found out I wasn't the only one having this issue. Is there any fix to keep it from switching back to Internal speakers? I have a Lg tv hooked up to my sound bar.
Always chose lg great brand great product its not one of them 1000 systems but I'm very much satisfied nice sound love to watch 4k movies has a lot of bang for the buck and use it to watch Sunday night football on my 75 inch lg tv thank you lg will continue to purchase your products good old Korean manufacturing

The instructions were easy to follow and now I am enjoying quality sound in my bedroom. 10/16 Listened to music using my soundbar today! The sound is clear and magnificent. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When receiving my item, I immediately notice how compact and easy it was to safely remove the subwoofer and sound bar from the box. I am glad no scissors or cutting knife were required. Once placing the soundbar and subwoofer in place, the rest of the cables looked noticeably obvious when hooking up. My initial concern was having to make a trip to my local electronic shop to purchase a Optical Fiber Cable to insure the best sound, fortunately the box included everything necessary. After 2 minutes (max) of making the right connections, I was ready for action. The remote controler is simple, comfortable and very user friendly. The first thing I did once set-up was complete was blast this bad boy to really test out the sound quality, and it did not disappoint. Loud when I needed it and crystal clear especially when gaming. I have not felt the need to set the volume pass "10" because even though it isn't crazy loud, the sound bar transmit the sounds throughout my whole living room which is a plus. The "Sound Effect" function on the control makes it simple to adjust the sound quality whenever I want to blast the bass. All and all I LOVE IT.

Right out of the box I was very impressed with the design that features sleek curved lines and hidden controls. Even the freestanding subwoofer is very clean looking and blends well with our decor. Set up was a breeze, you basically just plug in and pair with your television, and once paired the entire system delivers rich sound tailored to your content. Every detail is heard more clearly, music, background noise, and especially dialogue, which I usually have trouble hearing. I like that with the additional subwoofer you can create a unique surround sound experience by placing the speaker anywhere you'd like, although I did notice that when placed near our router the wifi signal was slightly affected, which is clearly stated in the setup instructions, so keep this in mind when deciding where to place your subwoofer. I frequently use the system to stream music and have noticed a huge difference in sound clarity and depth of sound with the LG soundbar. I hear details and arrangements in my music that I never noticed before, it feels as though I'm listening to the artists live. If you're looking for sound perfection in a sleek audio setup that you can customize to your space I would highly recommend the LG SN6Y Sound Bar.
The LG SN6Y has far exceeded my expectations. It mounted beautifully to my wall just below the tv and looks so classy. I paired it with the LG SPK8-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit for a truly full 5.1 surround sound. Watching a film, a formula one race, a rodeo or a football game is now a true theater experience. Its 420 watts of power easily fills a large room with crystal clear sound.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound bar worked fine, but the subwoofer sitting next to the bar would lose connection about half the time. Now the subwoofer doesn't turn on at all. I sure hope the 72" LG TV I bought this to go with lasts a lot longer.
