[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product a month ago and I really love it. You have so many sound options to choose from. It has a very quality sound coupled with Dolby Atmos.
This soundbar was disco'd at Best Buy. However Wal*Mart had the model online at a bit less than other retailers. Good product, delivery on time and plentiful status updates of shipping / delivering.
We bought this product a month ago along with a 65 inch LG G3 OLED tv. The sound is very good. Hookup was pretty simple and the presets make it easy to find a setting for daily use and for getting an in theater experience. I like this sound bar with the external bass speaker.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SPQ80QY sounded powerful, and clean. The voice in the movies and music I listened to sounded very crisp and clear. You can actually go into the application and make adjustments to the base and speakers. I found this useful since I am move of a base person, but at night when everyone else is sleeping it allowed me to lower the bass and not rattle the house. The sound bar and base alone sounded great but when you combine it with the SPQ8-S it takes it to another level of surround.
It works really well and is easy to set-up. We use it with our LG TV so it automatically turns on/off. Good sound, no delay.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG S80QY soundbar bundle is simply amazing, it needs to be heard to truly experience the sound it can produce from such a small package. Upon receiving the delivery and then opening up the box to see the soundbar you immediately notice how well designed it is with its sophisticated finish and colors that would look good in any setting. The second feature you notice about it is the three upfiring speakers on the top of the soundbar that gives it the ability to produce sound for Dolby Atmos enabled movies. Those 3 upfiring speakers with Atmos made movie watching a different experience with its ability to fill the room with sound that bounced around the room and made you feel like you could discern where each sound was taking place in the movie. I found myself constantly lowering the volume during loud scenes to make sure the neighbors wouldn't be bothered by the sound because it truly felt like being in a theater! The powerful subwoofer produces a loud bass that would truly make the room vibrate during action scenes in a movie. The remote that comes with the soundbar is small and convenient to use. The included SPQ8-S wireless speakers with the bundle elevate the sound experience to a real cinema experience with true 5.1 surround sound. Setting up the wireless speakers is pretty easy with just connecting the speakers to the receiver and plugging in the receiver to an outlet, with the soundbar automatically detecting and connecting to the speakers. The soundbar comes with many other convenient features such as built in Google Chromecast and Apple Airplay for connecting which ever device you own. All in all this LG soundbar is in my experience one of the best top of the line soundbar that money can buy to achieve a great home theater experience and I would recommend it anyone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar is replacing a 12 year old model that I have used extensively. To say that this is better is an understatement. From the unboxing, it was set up in under 5 minutes. The wireless subwoofer really does make the process very easy. The sound that comes from this sound bar is incredible. HOWEVER I highly recommend connecting the app and taking the time to tweak the various sound level sliders. Yes, you can make all of the adjustments with the remote, but I found it much easier to make multiple adjustments simultaneously with the app. To me, at first, the center upward firing speaker was a bit too loud. However, after adjustment, I am really happy with the sound. It may be a little annoying to listen to the same song on repeat while you make the adjustments, but the time is well worth it. Especially when you are spending this kind of money on a sound bar. One small thing that I have noticed: the wireless sound bar sometimes takes a moment to wake up when the sound bar first turns on. You can clearly hear sound and then it kick in a little later on. This isn't a big problem at all, but just something to note that it does occur (as is true with most wireless subwoofers). Overall, this sound bar is incredible with some minor tweaks and the LG sound quality is exactly what I would expect from this level sound bar.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had lackluster sound for a while and thought I would upgrade. Plugging this in was pretty much all I had to do. The soundbar uses HDMI Arc so my TV just recognized it and started controlling the volume. The subwoofer was already pre-sync'd with the soundbar. So that really was all there was to it. I did not realize what I was missing. The sound was great but what I really liked was the subwoofer adding the extra to it. I even turned it down some. You will most likely want to get the surround sound kit as well. From box to done in under 30 minutes.
