This review is not about the TV at all, it is about our site to store experience. We ordered this TV with the expectation that we were going to recieve a brand new TV ready to use. We got the opposite. When we got the TV home and opened the box, the screen was cracked from side to the other. It was handled very poorly in the shipping process and I DO NOT RECOMMEND site to store shipping.
For the price I am very happy with this TV. No wifi and only 2 hdmi ports but the picture is great. Setup was easy and I like how slim it is. Also the base swivels which is a bonus. This set runs very cool compared to my 6 yr old LCD. The sound is pretty good as well. Overall I'm happy with this tv.
I bought this back in 2012 and I have to say this is the best tv I have ever owned I was just wondering if anyone knew how much this TV would be worth today in very good condition [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It is a little short of inputs etc and there was minor cosmetic damage, but it is a very good buy for a studio monitor. The picture quality is great. Hertz is good (fast refresh rate) all the parts are there and it runs fairly cool. LG monitors from Walmart are a good combination. Jetman
received refurbished tv in less than perfect condition(dirty all over, had to clean picture area and bezel around picture). did not receive instruction manual with tv the mechanics of the tv(picture, controls, and set-up ok) after going on line to access the instruction manual. overall a very good buy, but should of been cleaned up before delivery.
I cannot honestly review this unit... it arrived (twice) with visible damage to the panel. Therefore, I rejected receipt. I cannot fault Walmart nor the LG set. I learned to NEVER have large panel T.V.'s shipped ground... both units arrived with crushed box and visible panel damage.
I bought this as a discounted "refurb" that was to be brought back to factory specifications. Well, overall the TV is great. No issues with the settings, controls, and overall picture quality. All top-notch. However, there were two things that became hard to deal with. The first was some sort of screen artifacts perhaps due to the method of back lighting. When watching anything with motion, you could see what would look like vertical "wood grain" shadows on the screen. This is not motion blur, but something wrong with the display itself. It was more pronounced when watching something with a lot of light color, like a hockey game. Even watching football was getting hard to do, as my eyes would focus on the screen issues and not the picture. Perhaps this is why the set was returned in the first place? The other issue was the speakers. At normal volume, the sound was getting distorted, meaning I had to use a sound bar. After a month, I decided to return it. Fortunately, buying from Walmart is wonderful, as even though I made the purchase online, and there was no serial number on the purchase receipt, my local store took care of the return with zero hassles. I purchased a Vizio E55OI in the store for $697, and the extended warranty (excellent deal), as in my purchase history, Walmart has always provided great return service and warranty exchanges.
Picture looked good unless the camera was panning across a large flat area of color (i.e., the sky or walls in a room), which is when you could see a vertical and horizontal shadow of grid lines. My guess, which is very uneducated, is that it is due to the t.v.'s backlighting system. I was expecting "flawless", "pefect" and that manufacture's claim was not met by this product. So I had to return it. I'm going to give Samsung a try, with a little bigger hit in the wallet.
Shipped Site to Store, the TV was poorly cushioned and was damaged in transit. Even the box had holes in it from the shifting TV. I refused the shipment and was issued a refund.
Had to be returned because it was bought as a refurbished TV and it was broke along the top edge, dented in the back and had a black shadow about 5" wide by 12" long across the screen when the TV was on. I would not call that refurbished. This was the second TV purchase because the first one came with a broke screen.
