Am very pleased, overall, with the performance of the TV. The only down side to this TV is that the sound projects from the back of the TV. I had to purchase a sound bar in order to hear the programs properly.
This TV was a wedding gift to ourselves, both the wife & I absolutely love it. The picture is absolutely clear with no work having to be done to it, great amount of HDMI ports, clear sound, everything. The only "quirk" about this is you do have to be careful of how much space is on either side of the TV for it will muffle the speakers & hearing quality is not the best, we found this out the hard way but once we moved the TV a few inches over we got a way louder sound at lower volume levels. Not enough words in the english language to describe all the wonderful things about this TV & the company.
We love this tv. It was an upgrade for us from a 50" DLP and we've been quite pleased with our selection. We didn't want or need 3D, smart or internet capable since we have a TiVo which has those capabilities (except for 3D) so we just wanted a nice display. The picture is beautiful. The audio quality is disappointing though. I've tried tuning it but it seems the frequency response is narrow. Low end sounds tend to vibrate and high end tends to sound tinny. Our solution is to run the audio through the receiver (HDMI) and that solved that problem. We'll most likely get a soundbar for casual watching.

I purchased this t.v as a gift for my Husband and WOW was he blown away. I did my research and I'm so happy I chose this model. I strongly recommend purchasing a few HDMI cables, which will give you the BEST quality picture and to purchase a fiber optic audio cable for the BEST quality sound. This was my first flat screen purchase and I set the entire system up myself - very simple! Highly recommended!
This is my second LG TV purchase within the last 4 months. TV is lightweight and has excellent picture. I love how the menus are easy to navigate and remote is simple, makes it much easier and less confusing.
Did not think I could get a TV this big with a great picture for so little money. It's easy to use, set up was a breeze and is so thin and lite weight, no problem placing on my shelf. Great basic HD TV.
My husband and I ordered this TV knowing that it was "refurbished" which, in the past, has always meant that something had been restored to like new quality. We recieved the TV a day earlier which was nice because we were so excited, but when we opened the box we realized that they had only put padding material at the top and not the bottom. It looked like foam insulation that had been vacuum sealed into bags so it was not protective at all. The TV ended up being dented at the top in the back and one whole side of the front trim had popped off which required double sided foam tape to get it to not make vibrating sounds when the volume was turned up. If Wal Mart wants their customers to be happy, they should take more care on their end when sending the products out. Overall, the TV itself is pretty thin and the picture is very clear so the product itself is exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend this product, just not the company I bought it from.
The price for this product was outstanding, which is what initially caught my eye. In addition the features that were included were what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the maxim of "if its too good to be true it probably is" held true for this purchase. When I got home the package was sitting on my doorstep if "package" is what you want to say I received. The bottom was of the box was practically ripped open and the rest of the box appeared as if it had been dropped repeatedly. As I was bringing the box inside as soon as I moved the box the remote fell out of the bottom - not surprising due to the state of the box. When I opened the box the foam that was supposed to hold the TV in place was not secured so when I removed the TV from the packaging I could see that the bezel was almost torn off and the rear of the TV was dented. In addition the stand for the TV was missing, probably because it fell out during shipping due to the poor state of the packaging. I immediately returned the product to the store for a refund, needless to say that I can safely say that while I already do not enjoy visiting Wal-mart stores, I enjoy the online experience even less. That is probably the last time I purchase a product online from Wal-mart. On the other I found a similar TV, but with more features and it included 3D through woot.com for the same price so I guess the damaged goods were a blessing in disguise - thanks Wal-mart!
The back of the tv was dented and the frame was falling off. We overlooked that, until the tv started glitching like crazy.
