I researched for a year to replace a drop in that had been there when my house was built in 1984. It was still working but not as well as it should. Finally the oven went out completely. This beautiful stove has all the features I wanted. Five burners, an oval center one, with a griddle to go over it, a huge oven, three racks, self-cleaning is so easy. It went in seamlessly and makes my kitchen look beautiful. I have several LG products and every one works the way it is supposed to and I've never had any trouble with any of them. I read all the reviews and one of the issues someone had was the knobs turn too easily. Ridiculous! You have to purposely turn each knob. The top is so easy to clean and wipe down. I know I will have this for many years and I'm very happy with it. We made pancakes, cookies, and turkey with all the fixings for our first go around. It was exciting to have an appliance that could use all burners and the oven all at the same time! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We put this range in our new home 21/2 months ago. We did an LP conversion on it. The pros came out and did that for us - no issue. I am enjoying the way it is so easy to clean. I really appreciate that the grates are THREE large pieces which I can take off and wash. Then the underlying part is ONE solid surface so I can wipe and dry and presto -- it's clean. The oven works like a charm. It is quiet - I love the little chimes to let me know when my bake temp has been reached or my item is cooked. I haven't cleaned the oven yet so I will have to review again when it gets dirty. Lots of room in the oven though and I'm enjoying the use of it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we decided to gut and remodel our kitchen I know from previous experiences with LG that we would replace all of our appliances with LG. We're still working on the kitchen so I can't say much about performance other than we times the preheat for the oven and it was much quicker than our previous Maytag range. It is absolutely beautiful and we cannot wait to use it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'VE BEEN USING MY LG RANGE FO TWO WEEKS. THE CONVECTION WORKS GREAT AS WELL AS THE OVEN. I REALLY LOVE HAVING THE OVEN DIAL TOO. THE FIVE BURNERS DELIVER EXACTLY AS THEY SHOULD. I USED THE GRIDDLE AND IT WORKED GREAT. THIS IS ONE OF MANY LG APPLIANCES I OWN. RELIABLE AND EASE OF USE
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never thought I would love a stove but boy was I wrong! I have been baking & cooking pretty much non stop since getting this for my kitchen. Things I love about this range... 1. I love the storage drawer on the bottom. I wasn't specifically looking for that feature as too many ranges don't have it. However, that extra storage was a definite selling point for me. In it I store my cake racks, griddle, roasting pans, and anything that fits! That drawer has really helped. 2. I can foods and for that purpose, the turbo burner is an absolute must! I routinely use 3 of the 5 burners just while canning. For instance, jars will be processing on the turbo burner, food will be kept hot on the simmer burner, and lids & jars will be sterilizing on the front left burner. It's perfect! The first time I used the turbo burner (front right) to heat up a pot of water, I was amazed at how quickly that was accomplished. 3. I love, love, love the oven. Not only does it have 4 racks, but there's plenty of room for preparing multiple dishes at the same time. It's very spacious. It's a joy being able to cook four sheets of cookies at the same time vs two. Cuts the time in half & saves gas. When we first got the oven, we checked the calibration of the settings for it using a thermocouple device. We saw some cycling, which is normal, but it was pretty much minimal. That was on the regular "bake" setting. We then tried the "Conv Bake" and it was better with less cycling. It was more even. Since then, I've been using Conv Bake for pretty much everything, except pizza, which is the "Pizza" setting on the knob. Extremely happy with the results. Since I enjoy baking bread, I love the "Proof" setting. My bread has come out perfect every time I use it. 4. Oven light - It's nice to have one. And it's nice to be able to look through the glass to see the product! 5. Fuel efficient - My gas consumption has actually gone down using this range. That was an unexpected plus, especially when I consider how many times I use the oven! I love it! 6. Easy to clean - I get grease spatter when frying. The sealed burners & very easy to clean as is the stainless stove top. I just wipe everything down with a microfiber cloth & warm water. The grease & muck come right off. That is so nice! No more Easy Off oven cleaner on the stove top to clean it. 8. I like the oven fan that continues after the oven is turned off. I'm thinking that is to disperse the heat inside the oven because the insulation is so good that the oven retains its heat a lot longer, requiring less energy to reach temperature more quickly & to hold it better. The only negative comment I have about the range is that I can remove all the knobs for cleaning EXCEPT for the OVEN knob! That bugs me as it gets grease under it and I cannot clean under it thoroughly. If I could remove that knob, I'd be perfectly happy.
I've had 3 stoves in the past 8 months. This is my 3rd. The 1st one was dented, scratched, and the back, where the controls were, was crooked by a half inch. After months of being told to tolerate it, I persisted, and the company refunded the stove. The 2nd, while having a couple of really nice features, continued to get hotter and hotter, bubbling the surface of the stove, melting things in the cupboard next to it, and the control board getting too hot to touch. I was to tolerate that, too. After 8 repair visits to our home without resolution,I didnt. I was afraid it would just blow up! With 5 burners, I could only use 2 pots or pans at a time. The burners were so close which didnt help with the heat disbursement. The company (a different one) refunded that stove, too. Then, I walked into an appliance store with my big bag of pots, pans, and cookie sheets. I wanted to be sure everything could fit in the oven and on the stove. That's when I found the LG! I'm in love with this stove. If a stove could be athletic, this one is! It outperforms any I've ever had! The stainless drip area under the gas burners shows no buildup or stains, cleans so easily, it always looks new! The oven, beautiful royal blue, works like a charm and cleans with ease. It cooks evenly and the racks are strong allowing you to feel secure when moving them as they're holding whatever you're roasting or baking. Back on the cooking field, the grates are sturdy and have little soft protectors on the bottom to keep a little cushion between them and the stovetop and also the counter when they are removed for cleaning. Best of all the drip pan is a level playing field, no dips, hills, ruts.... so easy to clean right up to the burners! I'm so pleased with finish of every part of this range. The dials have a definite, firm touch when initiating offs and ons. The distance, which makes a difference, between your pot/pan and the flame is perfection! Nothing burns or overcooks and cookware doesn't get scratched on the bottom. The control board sings to me when the oven reaches its temperature, when the timer goes off ... sweet little tunes that make you want to dance in the kitchen! I cook at least 2 meals a day. This gas range is perfection! So many little details have been considered in the design of this range. A true winning purchase to last long into the future! Thank you, LG! You've let me enjoy cooking once again!
Very happy with our new range. First experience with the convection oven feature and love it for most things but still use regular bake for cookies & pies. The stainless top is easy to clean. Only negative is the griddle in the center gets in the way when you have pans on every burner. We love using it for pancakes, though. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It didn't take long for this staining to start. I haven't figured out how to clean it. Light scrubbing with a sponge doesn't work. Also, the ceramic disks seem to be stained. Would love some tips on cleaning these two parts of the range. Otherwise very pleased with it.
I bought this oven and have owned it for about 2 weeks now, I am a pastry chef and so I needed a new oven to keep up with me. So far I love the pro bake features and the convection which I haven't owned in home before, my baked goods look so amazing and especially my Macarons are coming out perfect! I love the power burner and the middle grate, it really heats up the griddle fast for pancakes. I wish the other burners were as powerful but they do the job. I can't wait for more baking!!
Dangerous burner grates. I purchased a few months ago. Actually a really solid range, good burners and oven and broiler work perfectly, except and a big except ....the burner graters are poorly designed and outright dangerous. The front and back of the burner grates have large voids. If you pull a small pot or pan to front or back it will fall off the burner grates. Highly dangerous, especially is there are children present. Plus you get a 1/4 less cooking surface than advertised. So its 2/3 a great range. Unfortunately the proper replacement grates cost way way way to much to replace. And my second gripe is more of an annoyance. The is no cancele button on the oven controls.???? Making oven controls a little counter intuitive. Would I recommend? Perhaps but with a caveat. Dangerous burner grates.
