It was fun trying out and playing with the camera. I really don't text message so I don't know what that's like. Can download music to no end. Easy to personalize. Book tells you most of the basics but don't be scared to explore. Phone has two keyboards one for text and one for phone. There is so much you can do with it. Downloads from computer. Lots of extras.
I had an old flip top track-Phone for years. I decided to purchase this one. It has so many features that my old phone did no have. It is so easy to navigate all the features. It also comes with a camera and video. Messages are easy to get to as is all my contacts. I would recommend it. My Husband's old flip top went through the wash machine. He had bought one and he suggested I do the same. We travel a lot and to be able to go to the world clock and see if we are two hours ahead, or one hour behind our time is convenient. It has so many features for the price. Good value and price.
This is a great phone !! I love the TRIPLE minutes for life deal( buy200,get 600) cant beat that!! I have no trouble with it ,pocket/purse dialing, as it goes into a sleep mode when not in use and you have to wake it up and press your contacts icon, then the name to make the call .Has ALL the features I need WITHOUT a Contract price. Takes good pictures too!
One granddaughter wanted a phone and the other wanted a camera, and I've been a grandma long enough to know that whatever one has the other wants. It takes good pictures for only being 2mp camera. I like the ability to call the girls directly and them to be able to call me when they want. It a great deal with triple minutes for life, buy one hour for $20 and get three hours which are good for 90 days. So if your like me and don't use the phone alot you can have a moble phone for about $7 a month. Or you can pay the $99 and get service for a year with 400 minutes which turns into 1200 minutes. Text msgs are three at a rate of 1 minute. I like the fact that having to manage your minutes will teach them how to manage things when they get older. Also has games that doesn't affect their minutes, unless of course they are playing on the internet. You can always add additional minutes if needed. I'm thinking mom or dad could use this as a bargaining chip for either good or bad conduct.
I'd been wanting to get a new phone for quite awhile, but with all that's out there I felt overwhelmed. I simplified things by going with another TRACFONE because I like the "no plan" idea and the triple minutes is a big bonus. So far the phone is easy to use and I like the key board for texting. The only problem I've encountered so far is pushing the globe icon by mistake and having to pay for it. Just have to be more careful.
I rarely use a cell phone, but I have an 88 year-old father who lives out of state, so I wanted a phone where I could purchase minutes that didn't expire as soon as you turned around, or be charged each month even if I didn't use it. I was able to purchase a 400-minute card good for one year. Since the phone came with triple minutes, that meant 1200 minutes. With the price of the phone and the card, that translated to about $12 a month (you can't beat that these days). Plus, it has a touch screen. You'll probably want to get an inexpensive case, though, since the touch screen may activate the phone if you keep it in a pocket or purse.
The product is good but if you transfer your phone number from another provider be prepaired not to be able to use all the functions that are available on the phone. For instance I transfered my number from US Cellular and now because my existing number is roaming in my area, I am unable to send pictures with these providers, tracphone, net10, and I imagine straight talk. This fact I was not informed of either by printed material or by talking with an associate from these companies. Oh yes and if you purchase the $25 a month from net10 for 750 minutes you can't use it to go online or send pictures.
Even though I have set security to "Never", you must depress and hold a key before you can receive or make calls. TracFone help is worthless as they know this is a glitch with this particular phone. Problem has been ongoing for years according to complaints on the internet.
Ordered my phone, it was delivered on the day it was promised. Opened the box and found my Tracfon in Tracfon packaging. Opened phone, labeled Tracfone. Tried to activate and the phone was a Straight Talk Phone. So now returning this phone in hopes of receiving a Tracfone.
When I ordered the TracFone LG 800G, your website said that LG 800G would work in zip code 04976 or 34446. When I went to setup the cell phone through TracFone I was informed that LG 800G would not work in either one of these zip codes. It cost me about Five dollar extra than the cost of the cell phone plus the hassle of returning it to a walmart store. All in all I believe the poor rating was being generous.
