[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall i was pretty pleased with this unit. The setup was super easy. Its been a while since ive utilized a writer of any type. When i hooked it to the smartv to play back media, that too was quick and easy. I would def recommend this to anyone needing a portable drive. Also loved that it didn't sound a jet taking off when the cooling process was happening. Its quiet, takes minimal space, its a win win!!I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion
My new desktop PC, like most desktops nowadays did not come with an optical disc drive. I have a nice iTunes music collection and I like to create playlists and burn copies to a CD to listen to in my old truck. I was pleased to find this LG drive CD/DVD burner. It's perfect! Reasonably and looks great on my desk. Highly recommended.

Happy that I bought the DVD/CD drive. This product is a great low-cost way to access to my extensive CD collection which has sat not listened to for years after I began using a computer without a CD drive built in. Verry easy to use. As a musician it is great to have this additional resource beyond what is on line to listen to.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to record a video onto a DVD with this device, but it will only play on my computer, not a regular dvd player. It will not play commercial DVD's either. The reason I bought it was knowing that DVD's are becoming obsolete, I wanted to have the means to play my favorite DVD's.
Did not work new out the box suggest do not buy it's a waste of money
I've had 2 of these now, and they both died for no reason at all. One day it suddenly refuses to read discs, and they don't show up on my File Explorer window. This second one lasted just a couple weeks.
