I have owned dozens of cell phones including smartphones over the years. The LG Accolade is a great value for voice calls. It is easy to setup and use. It has great battery life, and the camera is not bad. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase and with the service I received from Walmart.
Im back to buy my 4th one.We all have verizon so this phone is great for the kids, grandparents and anyone else who still have landlines but want the security of a cell not to mention all the extras that come with this phone.$10 of minutes, the phone only cost $4.
Purchased 2 for my teenage boys‘. Great value for your money. Light weight, not too sophisticated, and it does the job. My boys' like to text and this is the perfect phone for the price. I recommend this Verizon Prepaid Phone, no contract, pay when I can. Love it!
The emphasis is on the word "little" phone. This phone has everything I need, though I'm not much of a texter. It has a great option of ring tones. What is best, it has a little icon of a microphone on the side, when you press this little button, you just SAY, call ____"home" we'll say, and it repeats, "calling home" and just does it! It reads the contact name that you put in contacts. As you can see I was very thrilled with this little feature because you don't have to look down to dial. My sister saw the size of it and wanted it as an "upgrade". Her whole fam has verizon phones and she gv her upgr. to her daughter so I bought her this prepaid phone and she just called customer serv and they transferred her # frm the old phn and she can have a new one too! For those using it as a prepaid...it comes with a $10- amount!! So the phone only ends up being $12 bucks. In the Veriz store its there for $189 on the wall! Also here at Walmart they sell a 10-in- one bundle set by Ematic. Or the 14-in-1 bundle by ematic, which had a leather case for the ipod touch so I ended up with that one but both sets have a car charger in it that works with this phone, because the wall charger disconnects and has a usb end to put into the computer. So that Ematic bundle comes with a mess of things great for this phone. Also, the sound is crisp and clear while talking. But mostly its so tiny it fits in your pocket with room for a pack of gum. Best of luck with it, cuz I know you'll love it too.
My husband and I just switched our prepaid service from Alltel to Verizon. We love this LG phone and how easy it is to set-up and use. The sound is so clear compared to my old Samsung phone. The camera is great too (we're kind of low tech, so this was our first one). Well worth the money.
This is a great phone. We ended up buying two! On the initial use, if you let the battery run down all the way, from then on, it will last for days on a charge. You don't have to let it run down on subsequent uses either. The phone is relatively easy to use even for non-techies. We bought the $100 one-year plan where we pay $.99 for every day we use it.
Great phone for the price. With the free air time included, it was practically free. A very good basic phone.
We have three of these phones - 2 puchased from Wal-Mart.com Good product shipped site to store saves about $7 from in-store price. Ordered on weekend, picked up before end of week. Puchase info from Wal-Mart indicates would take over a week, but once tracking info was emailed to me, Fed Ex estimated a much earlier ship date. I signed up for delivery notification for package w/ FedEx & was notified when it was delivered & then was notified by Wal-Mart a couple of hours later that it was ready for p/u. After taking the $10 card that is included with this phone into account, the phone itself only cost $5 - GREAT DEAL! Made the mistake of buying the first one through Verizon- way too expensive - had to commit to a 2 year contract to get for free - would have much rather paid the $5! Blocked Texting service to keep bill down & gave to daughter for emergency use only. With the pre-paid $2/day plan, this is a good deal to have for emergencies. If you need to text, the unlimited plan is $20/mo. But if not, there is no way to stop incoming texts from running the bill up unless you block all texts. Phone comes with a wall charger & micro USB to USB A cable so for a car charger, only a USB cigarette lighter plug is needed which can be obtained for $5-$10.
This is a good phone for anyone needing a no contract phone. Verizon offers OK packages, phone itself is a good sturdy phone. Camera takes decent pictures and the phone Functions great for what I bought it for. Only thing is if you receive more than 3 messages at the same time, phone will shut off and reboot. Also as for the package deal, it was suppose to come with $10.00 worth of minutes but I never received it. Called verizon and they "Claimed" it had been previously activated even though package was completely sealed when I received it.
This is my first cell phone. The sound quality is fine, and the qhoto quality is decent. The settings/menu are easy enough to figure out although you can expect lots of selecting and scrolling to find what you want. It's a nice pocket-friendly size and feels sturdy. The pre-loaded credit makes up for the fact that I "wasted" money just trying to figure out some of the features. My quibble is with the inability to download photos from the phone. So far the best method I've found for getting my photos is to email them to myself, which of course incurs daily/prepaid charges. One email can only attach 3-4 photos depending on file size. I took over 30 pics on a snowshoe trip and that's how I learned what a hassle it would be to retrieve my pics off the phone. Verizon does have an online photo album with the account so first I uploaded 25 photos there, again only 3-4 at a time, paying message fees to do that. BUT then I discovered that they can't be downloaded from there either. They can only be sent as messages with standard fees. So I had to pay again to email them to myself. This is a nice basic phone that would earn full stars if I could download photos directly with its included usb cable!
