I have only had my new LG Enact for about a month. I am newbie smart phone user, but so far my experience has been great! The size is just right for thumb navigation on the touch screen...which is very responsive. Still prefer the Slide-out Qwerty keyboard but am getting used to the on screen keyboard and voice to text features. I had the LG Expression previously but much prefer my new phone. I'm using my new phone in ways I never imagined. Being able to access my emails for my business couldn't be easier with both Outlook and Yahoo. Thanks LG for creating such a great entry level smart phone. Couldn't be happier! =) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This has the simplicity I prefer, yet has the features I need for business and ease of use. The only feature I really need that it currently lacks is compatibility with PayPal Here. For now, I can't use the card reader, so the process of taking credit cards is tedious. I hope you update the software soon! Otherwise, it's perfect!!
It's a great starter phone, it like it a lot. There are a few things that are not so nice about it, but I'm not sure if its the phone or my wireless connection. It seems to be a little slow at times, especially if you have more than one thing open. Like I said, its a good phone and the problems just could be my wireless connection that causing the slowness.
I did a lot of research before I bought this phone, but am very happy with my new LG Enact! Previously,I had an LG Chocolate, and most recently, the LG EnV-Touch, which, by the way, was still working fine after three (possibly four) years, but I wanted a smart phone, and I'm not disappointed. All the features you could possibly want...a larger screen, 5 megapixel camera, lots of great apps to download, and probably the most important bonus of all: the slide-out Qwerty keyboard! Been waiting for a company to come out with a decent smart phone with this feature, because it's much easier when it comes to texting (also has the virtual keyboard as well)! The LG Enact comes highly recommended, and you are sure to be delighted with this phone!
A good basic smart phone. Lighter than my last phone (also one with a slide-out keyboard) and seems to have better battery life. Also more flexible in letting the user skip back and forth between apps, calls, emails, etc. But here's what bugs me: (1) there is no way to mark an email "unread" from inside the email. One has to exit the email, find it again in the list of emails (which I prefer to sort by read/unread, so the newly read email isn't right there any more once I exit it), and then mark it unread from outside of it. EVERY other email system I have used has allowed for marking an email unread while it is open. There needs to be a software change to FIX THIS!!! (2) The keyboard light sometimes doesn't come on and certainly won't stay on. There is a setting to keep other lights on indefinitely but not, that I can find, one that controls the keyboard light. Most frustrating, the keyboard won't light when the phone is locked, so one has to pick out the keys to unlock the phone without the keyboard light. (3) Periodically when typing an email I get an error message that the LG keyboard has stopped working and have to hit "ok" whereupon everything is normal again. But no idea why this keeps happening. (4) There is no "forward" command in the built-in browser - but this may be a feature of the browser software rather than a phone thing. I'd probably still buy the phone again, since I want a physical keyboard and the only other option my carrier offers (a phone made by another maker) seemed to be an unreliable piece of equipment (requiring 3 warranty replacements while I had it). But a bit of tinkering to fix the above problems would make the Enact SO much better.
I've had the Enact for a few months now, and find it a very good "first" smartphone. I initially thought I would go back to my old, non-smartphone, but it's gotten to the point that now I need the Enact for my day-to-day operation. I find that battery surprisingly pretty good. The idea to long battery life is to shut off the 4G, WiFi, etc until you need to access the Internet or email. With that, the battery on the Enact is almost as good as my previous phone (Attention Adults: stop walking down the street updating your FB and Twitter accounts like a teenager, and your battery will last longer!) The thickness of the phone provides me with a 'good grip' to the phone, despite a little added weight due to the keyboard. The only unfortunate thing is that there are few accessories (cases, holsters, etc) specifically for the Enact, but one needs to adapt to those. But a Good Phone nonetheless.
I've had this phone since 08/2014 and have no complaints at all about the phone - except the battery could be a bit more robust - however, I carry a portable charger which charges it very fast. I have many, many apps that I use for life and that might be the cause of my battery drain - but I love this phone and will keep it until I can be sure another phone (G5 - hint, hint) will capture my heart as this one has. I like the hand feel, the feel of the phone in my hand; the back buttons, the storage (32g), the voice sound, the music play, the camera. It is a great working phone with easy to use features that make it intuitive to use. Love this phone, Love LG!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Worked great for two months. Now gets stuck at Verizon logo :( [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Battery goes dead if you carry the phone in your pocket for more than an hour. Must constantly remove battery to reset the phone. Verizon requires so many pre programmed apps that there is extremely limited storage for any other apps never mind that the storage is itty bitty at best. Will run away from this phone when contract is up.
This phone is great for a while, but after six months mine was having problems. It started shutting off on it's own, and the only way to turn it back on is to either remove and replace the battery or to hold the power button for ten seconds, then press it again. It's really unreliable. Lately random numbers I don't know have been calling or texting saying that I called them, when my phone showed no record of it. Not sure what that's about. Sometimes when it's on too long without a restart break, the phone will stop being able to receive or make calls. You can answer other people's calls, but neither person can hear each other. And when you call out, there's silence and they never get it. Overall, it's okay for short term use, but NOT a two year contract. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
