Had this phone for about three months now. Love the swappable battery. I don't even have to plug my phone in anymore if I don't want. The always on display is such a time saver, all phones should have it. Sd card support! Iphone don't do that. Also, the wide angle is more useful then I thought it would be. I've been a long time happy Samsung smartphone customer and an Apple iPhone, but this LG G5 is my best smartphone so far. I love the big 5.3 inch screen with its breath-taking ultra high resolution making everything from web browsing, gaming, reading, photo and video watching simply an incredible experience. The best part about this phone is definitely the extraordinary camera especially the wide angle one. Once I've seen the incredible user photos on Flickr in the LG G5 group, that seals the deal for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the phone's impressive sound as well. Between the big screen and impressive sound, it is my son's in-car entertainment system when we're on the road. The fact that I can easily change the battery myself was a significant selling point for me as I like to use high capacity after-market battery and I keep my phone for years. The only thing that I could ask for better is for it to come in white, which is my favorite color for any electronic device. And if it comes in a bigger 5.5 inch or 5.7 inch, now that would be truly great particularly for gaming and for movies. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I`m very new to Smartphones so I was not sure I really wanted one. Now that I`ve had the LG G5 phone for 6+ weeks I would hate to be without it! I tried and disliked the Apple phones, too proprietary, but this Android unit is very easy to use. It does everything I want very well. So many apps on the Google Play Store without the hassles of the iTunes store. One BIG point is that it uses the USB-C and OTG, "On-The-Go", a requirement for me. This has been a great purchase! The LG G5 is the best Android of 2015 due to the removable battery & microSD card for more memory & backup power. Battery lasts longer than any other phone I've used. My only complaint - Only - is that the operating system (marshmallow) for the LG G5 does *Not* allow moving Apps to the microSD storage. So you have to keep as few apps downloaded as possible in order to not use up all of your phone's memory. I want an update to the system, on this specific phone, that will allow us to move apps to the SD card, if that is at all possible. Please. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I got this phone after my G4 got stuck in a boot-loop. I like the feel, it feels very comfortable in your pocket even with a bulky case, the only things I have to say is I think the camera cracks a bit too easily, and things start burning into the screen for a couple of seconds, after you close an app, it stays on the screen for like 4 seconds, that gets kinda annoying but I can live with it, other than that, good job LG. I preordered the G5 and received it on its launch day. I was most excited about the camera and that manual mode. Pros: Best smartphone camera. Smooth and really fast. The pixel density of the displays amazing. Cons: The phone quality wasn't so good. The volume down button sinks into the phone when I press it and only comes out when I press the top button. I bought this phone online everything works great besides one thing. I couldn't get it to work with any simcard that i have as it says invalid sim. It turns out that the phone is carrier locked by Sprint. I don't live in US and i don't know how to unlock it to make it work with my sim.
