Just received fridge and am already in love with the double tap window that illuminates & allows us to see what's inside without having to open the fridge. Been waiting almost 12 hours & the first batch of ice still hasn't made, so we aren't excited about the long wait on that. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We bought the LG French Door, InstaView, Door in Door, counter depth, 23.5 ft.³ refrigerator in black a month ago. It replaces an 18 ft.³ Frigidaire Gallery in a total kitchen remodel. We want to see what we have and prefer not to have items getting lost in the back, and being not so tall people, are able to see and reach everything. There is plenty of room for a weeks groceries plus staples that live in your fridge for months. It's quiet, dispenses small ice cubes and cold water reliably. The 3 shelves of the Door in Door feature are roomy enough to hold 5 tubs of dairy products on one, 5 different juice containers on the second and an assortment of milks on the bottom. Unfortunately, glass wine bottles or full size glass juice bottles will not fit on any shelf. We use the sliding easy reach drawers for butter, some cheeses and deli meats. No other refrigerator model we looked at had the convenient freezer set up of this model. Two deep bins plus TWO drawers above the bins are a dream for sorting and accessing frozen goods. We especially like being able to find and access freeze packs of all sizes. The center drawer is our answer to storing all our flours and grains. Previously they took up half a shelf in the main compartment of our old Frigidaire. We're using a damp microfiber cloth to wipe down the door handles whenever needed and this matt black finish looks cleaner than any stainless appliance ever did. The cost is higher for the counter depth model and the black but it's worth it. Our kitchen remodeling team love it, too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife selected this beautiful refrigerator. We both loved the design features and elegant smoked finish. Unfortunately, the refrigerator stopped cooling for no obvious reason. It just quit. Fortunately, when we purchased the unit we also purchased an extended full service warranty, which still has one year remaining.
I've had it for 3 years. It's OK. The latch on the back of the glass door is not hard enough. I have opened the door, it comes loose and can be torn off. The ice compartment is not big enough and it sticks on the top right and does not flow down. Have to open cabinet and shake ice loose. A pain.

Bought my refrigerator in January 2018. Worked great the first few years. Then in 2021, the instaview window started lighting up/ turning on with just the slightest noise and didn't respond to knocks consistently. Fast forward to 2023, the compressor decides to stop working. Although it was no longer under complete warranty coverage, at least the compressor was still covered. So I was able to find one of their approved installers available to fix the fridge. Easy process and it was a breeze submitting everything online. Unfortunately after reading reviews, it seems many people have had the same issue. Not sure I'll purchase a LG fridge again.

I bought this refrigerator 7 years ago. And this is the third compressor that's in it. If it breaks again I'm pushing it to the curb. I tell everybody I know don't bother by an l. G. Life isn't good enough for me buying another lg refrigerator.
