Screen is very low resolution, but as a result the battery life is much better than any other smartphone I've had. There is periodically an app that isn't compatible with the phone but all the apps I use regularly work phone. Overall I am super happy with the value I got.
I got this phone on Black Friday 2012 for $40. As good as this phone has been, I would have gladly paid the $90. The phone is sturdy, I've dropped it on the concrete hard enough for the battery to fly out of it, but the phone remained unharmed. My toddler has even spilled juice on it and it remained unphased! This has been the best Straight Talk phone I've bought so far!
LG Optimus Logic Phone at $49.00 with the Planetronics Headset (which I have not tried yet) but the phone works good it hangs up occasionally about as much as my wife's iphone. Keep downloading apps but after I download them I dont really like them--it works fine though! All in all its a great little phone! Could have used a flash on camera but what the heck!
My last phone was a Droid X which I really liked. I had my Droid X for about 2 years with Verizon. I needed a new phone and also wanted a new plan. I was currently paying around 100.00 a month for just my line and it wasn't unlimited. Verizon has great service, but they need to learn to offer their customers better plans. Anyway, I chose to go with an unlimited plan and save about 600.00 a year. By looking at this phone online and reading the reviews I knew it was similar to my Droid. I got the phone and it is quite a bit smaller but has most of the great apps that the Droid does. The camera takes really good pics and it is easy to use and understand. With StraightTalk you can set your account up to be automatically deducted so you don't have to worry about not having service because you forgot to pay the bill. It is just like having a Verizon or AT&T plan WITHOUT the tie down of a 2 year contract. Oh, yeah, and did I mention I'm saving 600.00 a year!!! :) This is a good phone for the price. No problems so far.
I had concerns after reading some reviews. I must say I transferred my old phone number to my new LG without a single issue, it took about 2 hours! I use the phone for email, navigation and of course phone calls and it's very good. I don't play games and do not message often, however, what messaging I have done has been excellent. My only concern is that the phone keyboard doesn't easily change directions.
I had this for a week now, and it's been doing good. I only downloaded 2 apps and that was facebook, and clean master. Clean Master is a good app to erase junk files to get you more memory. The only bad thing about the phone is the memory. You can only move the apps you just downloaded to a SD card. This phone comes with a lot of apps pre downloaded. Which a few of them are nice but most of them are worthless. An you can't delete them for more memory. Other than the Memory aspect, I have no complaints. Since this is my first smart phone. Texting, and calling is easy, I always has service. Only reason why it's cheap, because the memory isn't amazing. I might just return it and get a phone that costs more and hopefully have more phone memory. If you don't download apps this phone is perfect for you. But many of us download apps, which will end up killing your phone memory very fast.
I bought this phone for my mom. She was not smart phone savvy at all prior to this purchase. She likes the phone and has caught on to its features very quickly, surfing the net ect. Overall there have been no complications with the phone so I would recommend it for a beginner. Not the fastest browser as it is only 3G but for the cost and the $45 monthly payment and no contract you really can't be it.
I have never had a phone that I could get on the internet with before so this phone is so much fun for me. I upload pics to facebook right away, take pics all the time, search the internet constantly and play pandora. No problem with the service or phone. Having a blast!
Only problem I have with it is that I uploaded facebook fast, weather, and iheart radio and it pretty much filled up my memory. Theres a lot of google things on it and I don't know what I can delete without causing problems. Pictures could be a little better but its better than what I had. This is my first phone like this and im pretty happy with it.
This is my first smart phone so I'm no expert. If you want a expert opinion ask a 20 year old. For me this phone works perfect. It does everything I need and about 50 things I don't need. While it might not be a Iphone, or the latest model $600.00 phone, I works well, and was only $40.00. I don't think you can go wrong with this. Also get the walmart insurance. It was $5.00 for two years.
