This is a great phone the ringtones sound great it has a perfect camera and just a great phone for anything(:
I like the way the phone looks like and the cost is just up my alley not to expensive. I know that I will enjoy this phone and besides I really like the LG phone from any company, and yes this will help keep me in touch with family and friends....so, yes! I'm glad that I will be happy to enjoy my new cell phone w/Verizon.
I love my phone and case. I have been enjoying it. I would recommend to family members and friends..
i bought this phone for a replacement phone because of the price. Its at least 5$ cheaper to buy it on line than it is in the store. Site to store made it super easy and I didn't have to pay shipping.
I switched from Net10 to Verizon and just wanted a basic phone. The Revere meets my expectations and more. The Verizon Cust. Service is great and speak English!!!! I have the Verizon unlimited prepaid plan and will stick with Verizon for a long time. I gave up on companies like net10, tracfone and Straight Talk. I need English speaking so I may understand them. You won't be disappointed switching.
We frequently go to the Brevard, NC area, and AT&T coverage (our cell phone account) is very poor there outside of town, whereas Verizon coverage outside of town is passably good. A friend suggested getting a pay-as-you-go phone from Verizon, and Wal-Mart had the LG VN150 (Revere) for about $16 on line (wasn't available in our local Wal-Mart stores). I ordered it and it came one day later than expected (via USPS) in perfect condition. The payment plans available are highly flexible and very affordable. The phone itself is a simple flip phone, and we plan to use it mostly as that. It does have a GPS feature we haven't tried yet. The sound is good. The layout of menus is good. The phone appears to be well-built and comes with a wall charger-to-USB cord, which is very convenient. We chose to pre-pay $100 for a whole year (unused portion rolls over to the next year and you keep your phone number, if you replenish the account before the year expires). If you make a call on a given day, your account is charged $1.99, and you can make as many more calls as you want that day without any further charges. This works perfectly for us, and it's nice to have a small, durable phone you can put in your pocket and use in an emergency or when out of AT&T range. Of course, it would be nice if AT&T would invest in better signal strength in that area. Verizon is a CDMA phone and CDMA phones generally work better in rural areas in America, so I'm told. AT&T and T-Mobile use the European standard and work fine in urban areas in the US and, of course, Europe; but not so well in rural areas in America.
Phone felt a little heavier than my other Verizon phone. Great phone for the price.
I bought this phone to replace my old LG VX3300 because I just need a phone for voice calls and text messages but I wanted a camera too, and the Revere fits the bill. The Revere feels solid, not fragile. Voice clarity is very good and the phone performs very well in every respect. I had to adapt to some differences over my old VX3300 like the lack of a one-touch voice memo key and a group limit of 20 contacts. But you can just create more groups (Work1, Work2, etc.) to overcome that limitation. You can also define shortcuts on the 4-way key so I programmed the left jog to go directly to 'My Sounds' which opens that menu with "Record New" highlighted. Where the VX3300 could only use voice commands for dialing a contact, the Revere has voice command capability for several other functions. With the VX3300 I had to record my own voice saying each contact's name and the phone would match the recording to the contact. There's no recording with the Revere. You say the name and the phone tries to match it to acontact. That doesn't work so well if the contact is an acronym or other non-word. You might have to rename these contacts. Sometimes it's difficult to understand what the phone says and I have to look at the display to see what it's guessing. There's no micro-SD expansion available and no video recording. I don't know if there's a way to transfer pictures between the phone & computer using the USB cable but I use bluetooth for that and it works in both directions. Without a data plan, I can't download more ringtones, games, etc. and I can't use Verizon's Backup Assistant. But I downloaded the LG Outlook Sync tool which allows me to backup/sync my contacts with Outlook 2007.
I use Verizon prepaid phone plan with unlimited voice/text/mobile web for $50/month. Call quality is good. Texting is a pain in the butt since it doesn't have a full keyboard. But, with T9 function it makes it a bit better. Using mobile web, you can do some things online. I've checked my gmail successfully. However when trying to check my school ID proper webpage with the "Email" icon didn't show up. So, that didn't go so well. Verizon puts a daily ads into these phones. So, once a day you'll have to press the clear button to get rid of them. It's not a big deal...just annoying. The phone feels very solid. Keys are large. The only poor design I can see is that the 4 way keys surrounding the center OK key is difficult to feel with finger. Otherwise all its other functions work well: speaker phone, camera with cool crop function (has no flash but has a nighttime mode). I would have given it 5 stars if camera had a flash, the 4 way control button was always easy to press and prepaid members also had full customer service (*611 doesn't get me the customer svs....I have yet to get one on the phone). Overall, the phone does what it's supposed to do: make phone calls and get/send some texts. It's a basic phone that is well constructed and easy to use. If you think of it that way, you are golden. It's not going to please a tech savvy person who needs a good camera with a flash or full keyboard since this phone has neither. I knew this when purchasing this phone since all I wanted was to make calls and text a bit without the fear of going over the minutes.
This unit replaced Samsung model. Easy to use with larger keypad.
