I have been loyal to LG Phones for years. Please forward next few paragraphs to FBI or other protective agency not in my area. I use LG phones buying 4-6 devices a year without assigning blame to LG as my devices frequently destroyed, locked up, hijacked via "sim theft" by a local, Corrupt Riverside Co. CA Deputy (Macalino 3707) determined to impede me from reporting his longterm criminal (myself a victim became aware of Corrupt County Employee's engaged in obtaining fraudulent gov. funds & benefits intended for Victims & Needy) Scams, Theft, Unethical behavior. Deputys crimes include redirecting my emails, calls, texts even doctors, 911 calls from reaching legal or supportive services. False reports & charges, slander to cause alienation. There is ooperation thruout county to continue to facilitate crimes. He has forced my children to collect fraud funds as victims I am cyberstalked past 6 yrs, filmed, recorded, 24 hours daily. Deputy uses police station phone number as my voicemail number, monitoring my calls posing as a belligerent lawyer to disuade lawsuit while actual atty never able to reach me. He blocks my calls to or from helpful agencies. All Riverside Co.CA Law Enf. refuses to take reports & then calls me w/threats of intimidation & harm to me to scare & silence me. Despite changing phones & carriers very frequently I remain hostage to gov & county corruption. Hijacker Cop then download my device into his computer to take control of LG software. ***Received fhe Lavender/Pink Stylo 5*** New Stylo 5 was free when Cricket ran a promotion in Oct 2019. *MY REVIEW OF LG STYLO 5: Over past year I had researched the Stylo 5 so I jumped at the Cricket promotion & free Stylo offer when I stopped in their store. I have primarily used LG phones in past 5 yrs (except for small iPhone in between). However, I do like the thin, sleek look, design of LG phones. The Stylo 5 also has a larger screen than past devices yet is not too clunky to handle. Battery is long life, slower to drain. I was lucky to find phone in the Lilac Pink color.
I've owned my Stylo 5 for about a year now. The phone presents a good value for those who want a reliable smartphone with a stylus and a sharp 1080p display. Sure, it's not too of the line, but, this device is nice and the user experience is definitely a good one. If you purchase this phone, I doubt you'll be disappointed. I am sure you'll like it and feel good about the money you spent.
I really like it I have the cricket version of the Stylo 5 just bought it on Mercari. I hope LG does not stop making quality phones maybe someone could buy LG out that way they won't stop making phones like this one or the LG G8 and so many other phones I really like my LG Stylo V the only thing I would say is that LG needs to work on glitches such as when you are watching YouTube you see a commercial and the video that's what happened on the first LG phone that I had which was a fortune 3 this is a upgrade for me I love phones with stylus this is why I chose LG over Samsung I really hope that this isn't the end of LG because I believe they definitely can't compete with other they just may need the extra help.
I updated to the G8 ThinQ from the G4 which was a brilliant phone, and after a few weeks of use I'm happy to report the G8 delivers the same great features, all improved, and more. A slightly narrower but longer display gives more viewing area and fits more comfortably in hand. It's easily readable in direct sunlight, with fabulous color rendition, and super slick to the touch for smooth gesturing. Taking advantage of the larger screen, the Gallery app now includes a scrollable album selector next to the contents, eliminating the need to go back to select a different album. Audio quality on the G4 was astounding, but LG found a way to improve it with 3D Surround and HiFi DAC. Music and movies sound unbelievably good, and voices on the FM radio player sound like you're right there in the studio. Watch out for when a call comes in with 3D Surround enabled, it sounds like others nearby can hear the caller's voice. This is quickly adjusted in the pull-down notification where many features can be instantly toggled. LG's look-and-feel has everything close by. With the Always-On screen lock, the battery level and notification icons can be swiped left to reveal toggles for the flashlight, sound mode, Bluetooth, and camera, or right you reveal media playback controls, all without unlocking and swiping down. Fingerprint unlock is super efficient and has never let me down, and it's located right where my finger looked for the G4's power/unlock button. Side buttons take a little getting used to coming from the G4. The volume buttons require a stretch to reach, and the Goodie Assistant is frequently summoned incuriously. Staying in the LG family made for a smooth migration of my apps and settings, with only 1 glaring exception. My texting threads could not find their way into the now-default Google Messages app, from the prior native LG Messages app. My contacts synced from Google. of course, but not being able to find something I knew I had sent someone left me wanting.
I have been with this device for more than a year and half. Its was very unique features , like the pen and the fact that the screen is wide. So you can expand and watch movies or videos. The bad side is the poor camera and you can move apps to the SD Card , which makes it hard to recommend. Would have like a little bit more RAM and internal storage space. Only 32 GB ( which only lets you with 16)
I have been using the LG Stylo 2 for about 3 years now. It wasn't the greatest phone ever made, but it was an awesome phone for $200. So recently I bought the Stylo 5. It's a nice phone in some ways, but the Stylo 2 was a better phone. LG messed up the functions on the Stylo 5. It's frustrating and hard to use and to set up. The notifications are a nightmare to set up. The Stylo 5 is a big step down when it comes to user friendly. I don't recommend this phone.
I love this phone, the design, all that storage, but I have one problem. I wanted to put a pin on my SIM card, but realized this setting is not available, even though I saw that same setting on my other phone. That makes me wonder how many other resourceful chunks of settings are missing on this. I think you shouldn't risk wasting your money on this.
32GB (16 or less usable) might be fine if there were App to SD support, but there isn't. A dozen apps (or goodness forbid, a large game) and you are out of space to install anything else. Choose your limited apps wisely because LG doesn't care about the usability of your phone.
I desperately need a lower rating for this phone. Like, negative several dozen stars. You don't want to know how long it took just to type that. I "upgraded" from the 2 to the 5. HUGE mistake. The problem starts, but is not limited to the memory. You can add a memory card, sure. You just can't use it. Apps can only be installed to internal memory. Photos have the option of being stored on the SD card, but aren't. So every time I want to do anything, I first have to figure out what to delete to make room for whatever I want to do, because nearly all internal memory is used up by bloatware. Even the camera is worse. If it's between this and no phone at all, opt for smoke signals. It'll be faster and less frustrating than this phone.
I would rather own a flip phone than this slow, non-functioning piece of crap!!!! I should've known something was wrong when the first thing I saw on it said " if phone isnt responding restart it, do not remove the battery. The thing is most of the time when u try to restart it you get an error that says system not responding would you like to wait or close. It takes the screen a whole minute to come on when you hit the wake up button. When I manage to get it to actually connect to my speaker it randomly cuts my music off for no reason at all. I have had nothing but problems with this phone from day one. Worst money I ever spent.
