Easy to track with the NQ Parenting Tracker. I love the triple minutes for life. We bought this for our 8 yrs. old son. He can call us if there's any emergency at the school. So far it's being a great first smartphone for him. We are trying to teach him some responsibility. The price is great.
so we have had a few tracfones and have never had a problem with them .. for those saying they dont' have a prepaid app .. that is true the newer phones don't but you set them up you tell the system to text you .. its simple and easy .. and we have never had a problem we get a text everyday to renew starting when you have ten days left on your service. my son has this phone and hasn't had an issue .. i feel most likely tons of these have been sold and three people that had problems wrote a review folks dont' care to write a review when things are going nifty and cool . it cost us about 20 bucks every three months on these phones and we are very happy with them. the one draw back is they have virtualy no memory .. so if your kid likes to have tons of little games this isn't the phone for you .. my kid has like three games on his. we did try to put in a big memory card but the phones dont' seem to recognize them. so you get maybe 4gb so small games like angry birds 1 , or temple run are fine .. just no big fancy games. and i woudlnt' have anything that requires constant wifi .. to play. other then that they are nice good cheap phones for children.
For what this cell phone is it does fine. Should you decide to keep this longer then a month I would suggest some sort of protection as this phone easily slips out of my hand. Dial this number to view time,txt and data available on your phone *777*1#
When I first got my phone it worked perfectly fine. after about 2 day it wouldn't charge. This is not a good phone and I'm very upset.
I had the phone maybe about 2 weeks and my son couldn't make any phones calls or text. Also the storage seemed to fill up quite fast with misc stuff which I cannot remove. I'm getting a replacement but if this doesn't work either I'll be very disappointed. The reason I chose this phone over any other is because my son is 9 and doesn't really need a super fancy phone just something to download some games talk to his family, etc.
Do not buy this item! I paid $60 for mine and worked fine when i first got it, however there is no prepaid menu, so I could not find my information anywhere of how many minutes I had or my service expiration date. About 2 weeks after purchase, i could not receive or send any text. Less than a month after purchase the phone stopped working completely! Turned off and on over and over and nothing! Very upset that I wasted my money on this!
My 12 year old bought this phone with his own money. It has quit working only 1 month after purchase. As soon as it turns on it shuts itself off. My daughter got the same one for her birthday before we knew these phones are a waste of money. I do NOT recommend anyone waste their money on this phone.
I bought this phone in a panic moment cause my old phone broke in the middle of Wal-Mart and I need to be constantly reachable. USELESS since it took THREE days to activate. It worked fine at first, but right away I noticed HORRIBLE battery life while using WiFi. Not really a game person but I did download a simple match three game...Got rid of it right away because it constantly crashed. As another reviewer said, there is no prepaid screen so no idea where I am on minutes, text or data, but no big deal since, like the other, I am no longer receiving or able to send texts. There is a totally useless app in play store that says my balance is not available, try later. Two weeks and nothing. Ringer volume is so low, even cranked way up, I can't hear it unless I am sitting on top of it. The tracfone prepaid smartphone deal is HORRID. Really regret buying while in panic mode. Switching as soon as possible!
I bought the LG Sunrise because I was upgrading from an old Samsung slide phone to a smart phone. It was a good deal. BUT, the phone only lasted about 1 year at best. The battery started draining with little to no usage of the phone. I would keep it setting on the counter most of the time. I didn't use the data very often because we have wifi, when I tried, I couldn't connect, or it just wouldn't load the pages even though it said I had 4G. A few days ago, my phone froze. I had to remove the battery to get it to turn off. When I restarted it, the screen said my android system had stopped. It wouldn't let me text, call or anything. Then it froze again. I once again removed the battery, this time overnight. When I reinserted the battery, the phone just had the black background with the LG logo on it. The phone wouldn't turn on or off. It has apparently crashed with all of my contacts. I do not recommend this phone, no matter what kind of deal you get for it.
