I bought it a few days ago and happy my husband and I got it it beat all the phones I had before [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have it around three weeks ago and I love it beautiful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I upgraded from the LG V20 to the LG V40 when it was released in October 2018. I thought I would miss the second screen of the V20 but LG incorporated a new "second screen" in the V40 notch but the real gem is the always-on-display, where you can put quick tools and the music player. You can access certain apps without turning on the phone.....just like the V20. This phone is faster, the OLED is sharp and vivid, the speaker is noticeably louder, the headphone jack is still available, Bluetooth 5.0 connects faster to my devices, and all 5 cameras are pretty good! With the upgrade to Android 9 Pie, more camera options are available. Overall, I have been pleased enough to where I finally wrote a review. Pros: 6.4" OLED screen, loud speaker, AI camera, headphone jack, wireless charging, upgraded to Android 9 Pie Cons: Average battery, no more IR blaster
i bought this a few weeks ago and its bittersweet for me honestly [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this phone couple weeks ago and coudn't be happier.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The range of close up to distance photography makes the V40 especially capable. With its glass lens - superior to the plastic lenses of other phones - and excellent 4K video processor, the LG not just competes against, but stands measurably above the premier mobiles of other brands. An additional bonus is the world's only high end hifi Quad DAC, one designed by the famed Bang& Olafson firm. The DAC is important if you listen to music. The DAC (digital-to-analog converter) provides for a highly detailed, warm, spacious and dimensional sound filed with tonal color. For music listeners who own a quality earbud, the LGV40 is unbeatable. The phone is very slim, well-built, has micro-SD storage for lots of photos and music, and is water-resistant. A whole lot for the money, and accordingly highly recommended. The design is a tour de force. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Extremely satisfied with overall phone functions. Great cellular reception. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I love this phone, but so disappointed that it does not support WiFi calling. It's funny how my V10 had WiFi calling for years and then was conveniently changed and didn't support it, so I go get a new phone and now same with this phone. I can't believe you changed things that not EVERY phone supports WiFi calling.
Did not like this phone. Sent it back after 4 days. I couldn't increase the font big enough. It was at max and bold but still too small. Speakers were not good. My music sound tinnie.
Great screen but horrible battery life. Charges in about an hour but you will have to do that twice a day. I paid full retail on payment plan in 2021 for thia phone and it was priced at full retail from 2018 when it was released.
