I have this phone over two years and it's still working great except for the new battery that I purchased outside of my cellphone provider which drains quickly after phone calls. I love the features of this phone and the fact that it is not too large like new cellphones out there. The touch phone feature works great for me with my nails kept just long enough to type with it. Colors on the screen are vivid and the different menus are very well organized. The downside is the camera is only 2.0 mp which works better outside with no flash and you have to hold the camera really steady. The video is not good quality and could be improved. I tried searching for a new cellphone that does not require a pricey data plan but none met my expectation like the LG VU. * I would like to see another product like this one with more advance features such as android (to be able to use it as a reader) with wi-fi capabilities and a standard 3.5mm earphone jack. * Phones like this is great especially for those who would like modern features on their phones but does not need or does not want to spend money for features on smart phones and the data plan price that comes with it.
its fast easy to use and fun the touch screen is very accurate and works great the only problem i found is that the battery only lasts a day in a half so i carry around my charger better safe then sorry when i call someone it has everything i need to no my sister got the i phone and it was to complicated for us we gave up and got her a VU to conclude it has 3 or 4 different colors when i ordered another because mine was stolen my insurance didnt help i payed 200 for my 2nd but my 1st was 50 and i asked for white and got maroon i have dropped this phone out of my car in the toilet and the beach and it still works great so if your looking for a phone great for kids this is the best not only is the phone great its cheap
I bought this phone about a year ago and I am so glad I had it. The texting on this is great, with the keyboard on this phone is landscape. The only downfall is the battery life. I recommend if you are going to buy this phone, that you charge it during while you are sleeping. The mobile internet on it is not always great while you have 3G on it. If you are going to buy this for talking and texting then this is a great phone at a great price.
Its my first phone. never had one before. I've seen other phones, they seem nicer but if all your looking for is a phone with a camera, text, calling, TV, and internet then you are in for a treat. i loved it. Its a sleek phone, what i liked about it is that YOU CAN NEVER CRACK IT! The screen is all plastic, the whole phone is plastic, but it doesn't look it. it looks aluminum and glass!!!! one tip: there is a couple layers of the screen, there is a plastic coating on the top, then the plastic screen, GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR, OR THE PLASTIC COATING WILL FALL OFF LEAVING AWKWARD BUMPS AND SCRATCHES WHEN YOU DROP IT. IT WILL MAKE THE SCREEN NOT FEEL SLEEK AND SMOOTH. I've had it for over a year and its battery is a little faulty, occasionally it will freeze and won't do anything, I've discovered the only way to make that go away is to remove the battery and turn the phone back on. I charge it all night every night so that kind of ruins it. The camera is average, and so is the T.V. its pretty good, the screen is responsive, it gives back a vibration or sound when you touch it. you may not be able to find the QWERTY keyboard at first, there is an icon on the top of the message screen there that transforms it to the QWERTY keyboard. it comes with a voice command that works only if you speak in its language. the settings allows you to chance the themes and use touch screen calibration. Overall this phone is great, on certain standards it may be cheap, but i love it and would recommend it to people who need to select their first first phone.
The LGVu phone is an excellent phone at a great value. The one thing that can use some improvement is that the battery runs down rapidly. I find myself having to charge the phone every couple of days. If you use the TV function, you will have the recharge at least daily.
this phone started out good but then went down hill i had to get a new battery and i havent even had the phone for more than 8 months and now the screen barely shows up its like the lights in it go out
I have owned this phone a little over a year. The touch screen randomly quit working. This was a very gently used phone. I guess it is an unreal expectation for my phone to last as long a my 2 year contract.
I thought this was going to be THE phone for me. After all, my friend had had an LG phone and it worked for years. I bought the VU because it was described as being a great little phone. In ONE year's time, this phone just died on me three times. My friend also bought this same phone when I did and he also had the same results. What was infuriating is that the screen would stop working and all pictures and videos could not be retrieved. Yeah, it would be replaced but the same thing happened phone after phone. These phones (his and mine) were never dropped and were carefully handled. We finally gave up and didn't even get them replaced, even though they were still under warranty. I mean, why? They were just gonna fail. This left me with NO desire to ever have another LG product. Ever. Even LG, later on, admitted that this one was a badly made phone. No consolation to me. I would not want this phone if it were free and guaranteed for life.
