I also love the lights that flash along with the music & that I am able to change their color with the mobile app. The app is so handy and is so great for making playlists for different moods/occasions. I cannot say enough great things about this speaker. I went on a weekend camping trip recently with some friends and my XBOOM speaker was a big focal point for us at night to listen to music and have the light show to enjoy. No messed cables, can be simply connected by Bluetooth. Sound is so clearer and even low frequency sound so great for jazz. Microphone works good for speaking with phone.

I have to say, coming into it I thought it's size would keep it from really rocking like bigger Bluetooth speakers. I'm happy to say it far exceeded my expectations. The size is perfect for taking it wherever you want. The Meridian Audio Technology really helps cut down on high volume distortion you normally get from other portable speakers. The light up passive radiators on each end that move in and out with the bass of the music are cool. You can use the XBoom app to customize the led lights to your personal preference. I also like the fact it is IPX5 rated in case I get caught out in some rain or it gets splashed on at the pool. The 18 hours of battery life keeps me from having to worry about a charger when I go out with it. Anyone looking for a great sounding speaker that is the perfect portable size can not go wrong with the LG PL5 XBoom Go Bluetooth speaker.

I've been using the portable speaker with my cell phone via Bluetooth and portable FM radio via the auxiliary port. Both items work great with the speaker and the sound is good for the size of the speaker. Speaker is easy to charge and you can carry it with you wherever you go. The lights are a nice addition, but I don't usually use them, so I turn them off. A bonus is the LG XBoom app you can download from the Google Play Store or Apple Store to control the speaker, this makes it easier to set it up compared to doing everything on the speaker. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

This is my second one of these. Your price was $10 cheaper than the first one I bought. For a small device, the sound is amazing. Equally amazing was the battery life when I used them this past weekend at an all-day party......
Very unbalanced sound. Weak , thin and not a lot of bang for your buck. Might be OK for half the price they're asking. Bought another brand elsewhere for the same money that absolutely blows this away. I returned this unit to the store.
