I've been using competitor portable speakers for years, and have sworn up and down that one particular market leader was unbeatable. Turns out, LG caught up - and then some. Affordable clarity at low volumes is what I'd say this speaker should be heralded for, but the thing can get very loud if you ask it to. And while the lighting can be fun, it's also optional which is a big plus. Sound quality is very good for a portable speaker. The dual active woofers definitely create a comfortable and clear audio reproduction. It will not thump like larger speakers will on the bass kicks, but compared to just about any other speaker of this size/class, it will deliver low notes with the accuracy and clarity of the best of them. The only issues I've had are likely related to my phone I pair with it - intermittent stutters and cut-outs here and there, but nothing I'm able to reproduce intentionally. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review, and the truth is this: overall, this is an excellent speaker to take to the pool, camping, or living room chair.

The design is very unique . I really love the LED lights that match with the music, you can personalized the lights in the XBOOM app. This Speaker is very easy to connect to any device and my LG TV. IT uses a USB-C charging and has Long-lasting battery life I can listen to music for hours before it needs to be charged. Very easy to used the voice assistance (Siri) by clicking the pressing the play bottom for 2 seconds. The quality or the sound is amazing, one of my favorite features is the sound boost bottom in the speaker and also in the app and I can share my playlist with someone by Pairing two devices at the same time via the XBOOM App, very unique feature. I can also answer my phone and talk in the speaker, Very high quality speaker, I highly recommended, very good to take it on the go since is light weight and easy to carry, it is water and weather resistant so no matter the weather this LG speaker is always good to take it with you! Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG XBOOM Go PL7 Portable Bluetooth Speaker far surpassed my my every expectation in regard to design, audio quality, and portability. Featuring a fun, modern capsule shape and adorned with two LED radiators, an array of push-button functions, the XBOOM Go PL7 does not disappoint in the design category. The functions are clearly marked and include pause/play, volume up/down, skip track, sound boost and even a voice assistant key. The LG XBOOM PLS7 is lightweight for easy portability, all while still feeling substantial/weighty enough to indicate a well-constructed speaker. Sound quality and clarity is absolutely impeccable, as the audio is clear, sharp and the speaker volume range is excellent. I love that we have experienced minimal distortion, even when volume and bass are at max capacity. The color-changing LEDs on either side of the radiators are super attractive and fun to look at while listening to my favorite songs. The LG XBOOM PLS7 is such a versatile speaker, as it is water resistant, and is perfect for backyard gatherings by the pool, a day at the beach or even for some cheer while cleaning my home. One of my favorite features is the LG XBOOM app, which enables you to link your speaker to a voice assistant for convenient phone-to-speaker audio control. If you are looking for a well-constructed, fun Bluetooth speaker that is portable, superior in sound quality and water-resistant, this speaker will not disappoint!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit finally arrived well boxed with no damage. Opened it up and paired it with my phone. I was instantly let to the App store to download the XBOOM app to manage the speaker. The whole process only took a couple of minutes and I was up and running. The sound is great with plenty of available volume for my purpose of using on the outside deck. The l.e.d ring lights on either end of the unit are really fun and can be controlled from the app with different themed color settings to fit your mood or taste. They can also be turned off. Very easy to use and has plenty of battery life to last all day. Just make sure you have a spare USB charging block handy as a cable is included but not the ac adapter. This is a great bluetooth speaker! You will not be disappointed. :)
I love the sound quality of this Bluetooth speaker. I had ordered a cheaper smaller speaker and found the hard way that it was not a wise purchase. This speaker is everything the other one was NOT!! You'll love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this XBOOM Go PL7 Speaker from LG. I love to bring music with me when out camping or at BBQ. There are many pros to this speaker which includes it being water-resistant for those outdoor excursions. I was happy with the small size of this speaker since it can easily fit into a tote bag. Even though it's a small speaker, the Sound Boost function really packs a punch, especially when playing at higher volumes. The sound is still clear and crisp. I downloaded the LG app and am able to turn the speaker off (very handy when I am far away from the speaker!), control the LED lights, turn on the Sound Boost, and play music from my phone. I find the LED lights fun, especially when it gets dark out! There are several negatives about this speaker as well. My first big complaint is that there is no handle and additionally, there is no carry case. Even though it's small, it's heavier than expected and it's awkward to pick it up as it's a little too big for me. I feel like it's going to slip out of my hand. It would have been so great if there was some kind of handle that popped out for easy carrying. Additionally, the two speakers on the side move and pulse with the music and it looks like it's sensitive to touch so generally, anyone should avoid touching it. That being said, if I toss this into my tote bag, I feel that I could potentially damage the speakers from other things being on top of the speakers and pressing against it. Overall, I am happy with this speaker since when it comes down to it, quality sound comes in at the top of my list.
It is perfect for bathroom speaker! waterproof, pound, extremely long battery life and great sound with loud bass! I use it everyday to start my day strong!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the PL7 about 2 weeks ago and have tested a lot of the features of the product. I have used the speaker in my kitchen, workout room and outsie by the pool. Sound: The speaker is loud and the bass is good. It will not blow the doors off the house, but for casual listening and small parties it is great. It sounded great outside as well. Features: It connected to the phone easily. the buttons on top are laid out well and are easy to use. The changing light colors are a very nice touch. We used it at night with the lights off and the colors changed and looked really nice. Connectivity: I have the device connected ot my phone and my wife's phone. It has connected everytime without issue. Battery life: I didn't actually clock the time the battery lasted but I am about 8 hours of music in on a single charge so I would say the battery life is excellent. Issues: The only issue I see is that it could use a bit more bass. I come across this a lot with smaller speakers and this one is no exception. The bass is good, really good actually, but who doesn't want more bass? I am very impressed with the speaker and recommend it for anyone who is lookng for a great sounding portable speaker that can go from inside to outside and on the go seamlessly.
From the beginning, I had issues with just turning this device on. Stop using it after it became a huge hassle to just TURN ON. Let it sit for over month …Doesn't even charge or turn on anymore. This is the worst speaker product I have ever owned. While I do have degree in electrical engineering, and could probably troubleshoot the root cause, I'm quite certain that would void any existing warranty. Pretty amazing quality control let this get shipped to a customer.
