I only text and talk and this is a really good phone if that is all you are interested in.
I have read other reviews before buying this cellphone and I am very happy I bought it. For the price I paid, I can do a lot of things and I am not committed on another 2 years for an upgrade. It is very user friendly, 3G and it has a lot of nice features. Even the camera is perfect for me although it is only a 3 megapixel. I recommend this product to those who want an upgrade for a very reasonable price.
I got this phone in replace of my old one which had broken. I had it for a while before I noticed the screen would flicker when I touched black part right above the call and end buttons. I gave LG a call, and they where great to send me out another phone in replacement. I've had this replacement for a month, if that, before the same issue occurred! I need to call AGAIN to get ANOTHER replacement. It is a manufacture issue, and is becoming a pain in my behind. On top of that, I need to charge the battery every night, and the screen freezes. After every text message I get, it goes back to a empty message screen. The only way to get rid of it is to lock the phone, and then unlock it. It's a pain every time I reply to a text to have to do that. My first LG was a 10 dollar flip phone, and it went to heck and back with out any damage, and because of that LG seemed good to me. They need to fix this issue with the Xenon, other wise I will be switching brands.
I purchsed this phone due to the fact that I lost my last phone. However, this phone has all the features I love and need, but the only problem I have is with the Battery. You can't talk for more than 45 minutes before the battery needs recharging. This is the ONLY thing I find wrong with this phone. The features are awesome, otherwise. LG need to redesign the battery for this phone. If you don't carry a charger EVERY WHERE you go, you would have to limit your talk time.
I like this phone, has great features, however the big problem is that it does not hold the charge. For the cost of the phone, i will not buy a battery this early, I do plan to return it to walmart.
It's an pretty good phone all in all, BUT, if you're a T Mobile customer and DON'T have internet you WON'T be able to picture msg in or out BECAUSE its a AT&T data phone! EVEN if you have codes put in the phone from T Mobile, it won't work. For me that was a deal breaker and I won't pay for internet just for that!
I upgraded from a Motorola Razar, so this is somewhat of a major step for me. I am also new to the multimedia scene that emails, text and IM. This phone has made the transition very easy for me for I found it easy to get familiar with utilizing the various features. After owning this phone for only five weeks the touch screen stopped working which basically disaled it making it useless. Warranty rplacement is in progress.
I have had my phone for 6 months. About 2-3 months ago the phone would flicker when I pushed the black area above the call button. It has continued to get worse. The screen now looks like a negative. We have two of these phones in our family and both are doing the same thing. I am very frustrated because I take good care of my phones. The last LG phone I had for 3 years before replacing and it still works!
I read all the reviews and specifically wanted an unlocked phone so we could simply insert an ATT SIMM card we already had. The phone worked as intended and was easy, no activation required, as we already had an active SIMM card on an active ATT account (removed from old phone). However this phone only lasted 1 month before the screen backlight went out. After not touching it for a few days it worked again. This kept happening over and over. This phone was for my teenage daughter whom can be careless and dropped it on the floor a few times. However our teenage son who is alot rougher on his phones (not this phone) has never had these screen issues. Luckily I also purchased Walmart's Accidental Coverage with the phone so we received a new replacement in a matter of days (we did not pick the same phone though). I do not recommend this for teenagers, This phone can't take a lot of bumping around.
I've had this phone over a year now and it's touch screen is very unresponsive and frustrating...I could never answer a call without having to touch "accept" at least 3 or 4 times. I recalibrated the screen often and it would get a little better for a while but then very unresponsive. Now, after 1 year and out of warranty, the screen won't respond at all to my touch...and I'm unable to do anything but answer the phone. Find another LG phone!
