Xobaline 3mg by LifeLink 60 Tablet Xobaline (for humans) Methylcobalamin (the active ingredient in Xobaline) is one of several forms of vitamin B12 known as cobalamins. Cobalamins are unique vitamins in that they contain the mineral cobalt . Only two of the cobalamins actually play active roles in the bodys biochemistry however these are methylcobalamin and S-adenosylcobalamin . Since the methyl- and adenosyl- forms are interconvertable a dietary source that contains methylcobalamin also serves as a source of S-adenosylcobalamin. The cobalamins are made only by microorganisms not by plants or animals. This means that animals must obtain them either from their diet or from microorganisms living in their bodies. For example cows get their vitamin B12 from gut-dwelling bacteria. Since the cobalamins are stored in animal cells carnivores can get their vitamin B12 by eating meat even though they dont themselves have B12-producing gut-dwelling bacteria.

This really helps our 14 year old diabetic cat whose joints have deteriorated from the disease.
The product arrived quickly. I just easily crushed a tablet, twice/day, between my thumb and index finger and sprinkled it on my cat's food. It didn't happen immediately as some reports said, but within about 3 weeks I noticed a definite improvement. My cat stopped walking on his whole back feet and after 2 months is walking almost normal and is able to jump up on the bed and do most of the things he could before he developed diabetes and neuropathy. I searched everywhere for methylcobalimine - the only kind of b12 cats can take and finally found this website/product. Thank you so much. I will definately be ordering more xobaline. Zippy doesn't seem to mind the taste of it either.
