I picked this up for my Mother. She's on blood thinners and often feels cold. This unit worked out beautifully for her. It's very light weight, and easy for her to move to the area she wants the extra heat. It's nearly silent, and gently blows the warm air back and forth. The controls are right on top making it easy for her to see and operate. It turns off immediately if it's tipped over. It's sleek looking, and the tower design enables it to be very efficient without taking up much space. Very, very pleased with this item.
I was chosen to test out and give my opinion on the LifeSmart 1500W 16 Inch Tower PTC Heater with Oscillation and I have to say it works perfect! We have a messed up window where the cold air gets in and it stays cold in our living room and this heater works wonders! Keeps our living room so warm and toasty! I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
I was really worried about the safety of having a Lifesmart electric portable heater and fan until I tried it out and found that the tip over safety feature shuts the heater off automatically and the cool touch exterior let me check it quickly only to find out that the unit was already safely turned off. Having a furry cat friend makes you very aware of safety features. This tower unit weighs only 8.38 pounds and the slim built let's it fit into corners easily. I also like that you can use it as a fan without any heat settings.
pros can protect from overheating and if it tips over will have a safety shutoff. oscillates easy to control easy to ready controls washable filter can oscillate fan only mode lightweight and small travel size quiet and does provide good heat, for small spaces very quiet when in use cons doesn't seem to have a timer setting and no remote, which would be a great addition knobs on top of the heater feel cheap and can pop off easily listed as small to medium room, i would only say a small room. if you have a small office or area in a big room you need warm this will help.
Today I received my Lifesmart PTC Tower Heater. Although small at only a little over 17” tall, this little heater has no problem warming a small to medium size room. With two heat settings (Hi and Low) it delivers plenty of heat. This little heater's fan is pretty quiet when running and is almost unnoticeable. The Lifesmart Tower Heater has an oscillating feature to evenly distribute heat throughout the room, has tip over sensors and an overheat automatic shutoff feature. The tower also has a fan mode to cycle air without heat. There is a washable lifetime filter that when cleaned every 2-3 months as directed should keep your Lifesmart PCT Tower Heater lasting through many winters. The only negative I could find about this heater was that the mode dial knob is not very secure and easily lifts off when turning on or changing modes. Otherwise, reasonably priced it's a worthwhile investment for small to medium area heating.
