The Looster Booster was just the perfect item for potty training our third child. Our daughter trained months quicker and became much more independent faster as well than our older boys who did not have this stool. We went straight to the big potty and didn't have to waste money and cleaning time on those separate small potty chairs which are basically just a waste of money.
It's bigger, sturdier, and more slip-proof than I expected, which is great. It's also the perfect height for a small 3 yr old (I was afraid it would be too low.) Unfortunately, my autistic child doesn't like it, but there's no clear reason as to why. Maybe it's not solid enough. Maybe it needs hand rails. It says that adults can still use the toilet when this stool is in place, but adults and older children really have to move it aside. I would only recommend this if you have at least 2 bathrooms.
THIS IS GREAT I WAS TRYING SO HARD TO POTTY TRAIN MY DAUGHTER FOR THE LONGEST ABOUT 2 MONTHS. ONCE I SAW THIS I PURCHASED IT WAITING FOR IT TO ARRIVE SO HAPPY TO SEE IF IT WILL GET BETTER AND EASIER TO POTTY TRAIN HER. BOY ONCE I SHOWED IT TO HER AND HER HOW TO USE IT. THAT WAS A WRAP SHE NO LONGER NEEDED MY HELP AND IT ONLY TOOK HER ONE DAY TO BE POTTY TARINED. I WISH THAT I WOULD OF KNEW ABOUT THIS SOONER IT WOULD HAVE SAVED ME SO MUCH TIME. NOW SHE SAY SHE IS A BIG GIRL AND SHE CAN DO IT ALL BY HERSELF.
I bought this stool for my two year old who recently started potty training. It works great. It is very sturdy and does not slide when she gets up and down. It is big, but it enables her to get up and down by herself. Our old stool was too high and awkward. I think this is a great product.
I wish this would've been around (as in: AROUND the toilet base) when I had babes to potty train...maybe a few less oh-oh moments, and unintended dips into the toilet bowl as I'm insisting they NOT hold onto the toilet seat ... Oh well, the Little Looster is here now and I'm using this over and over and over with my g-kids. The two who are in the business of potty training stages are doing quite well, and I'm giving 50% credit to the Little Looster and keeping 50% credit for myself. One granddaughter is delighted when her feet are on and touching the Looster and says this is 'better' than when she had no support. So all in all, this review should say: BETTER, much better than before. Try it, it's really better. & the 'green' aspect is a true deal-sealer. Love your Mother Earth, and she'll love you back.
Set it and forget it -- the Little Looster makes "going" for little ones a no mess, no stress breeze. Ok, it's true that it makes sitting down for adults a slightly different maneuver than what we're used to, but the trade-off is a no-brainer when you consider the comfort of your kid. For those of us who stand for #1, the foot cut-outs provide plenty of access. If it were any smaller it just wouldn't serve the purpose for which it is intended. It's a sturdy step up for shorties, and it means no more picking them up and positioning them just right on the seat. It's also more sanitary, since they're not grabbing the seat (which, I confess, we do not sanitize every single day in our home) to boost themselves up when no one is available to help. I and my 3 y.o. daughter recommend it.
The Little Looster caught our eye immediately as a healthy, safe, and convenient potty training product. The need for the child's legs to be supported is paramount, as a lack of circulation can not only be extremely uncomforatble but can have have disaterous health effects on the child's health. The fact that the Little Looster wraps around in a U-SHAPE, is very helpful for our baby boy. He sometimes chooses to sit a little diagnal/sideways, and often shifts position to reach for the bath tissue. This product is strong enough for my 180lb. body to stand on for chores around the house as well. I can not imagine purchasing anything except the Little Looster for our Son's potty training needs.
Our daughter is a little short for her age, so we really like that this stool is a little higher than the others. That it curves around is also a good thing, it lets her position her feet any way she's comfortable. It has rubber feet & doesn't slip around. It is a little large for an adult to be comfortable with it there, & a bit expensive for a plastic stool, but it does what it promises to.
My toddler did not want a plastic potty. She wanted to use the real thing, but really struggled with a regular stool. This stool helps her to position herself on the toilet. It also gives her feet a surface to touch. I do wish there was more of an indention where adults feet rest. My husband and I are often annoyed at working around it.
Sturdy, tall, but larger than I imagined. Works great for my 3 yo.
